He said the suspects had traveled to Serbia, where they underwent training. Investigators allege they were taught tactics for breaking through police cordons, methods of resistance, and the use of batons and firearms. Moldovan police stated that some of the detainees had been trained inside Moldova itself, while only those instructed by Russian citizens were sent to Serbia. The Moldovan Intelligence and Security Service reported that the operation was coordinated by a handler who presented himself as an officer of a Russian special service under the alias "Bes." It is also reported that a GRU (Russian special services) officer was involved in the coordination, using a criminal network for recruitment.

Harpreet Singh was finally arrested by ICE and after he receives due process he will be eligible to be deported to India to stand trial. The hope is that SCOTUS will allow him to be sent home.

Sources said that the NIA had recently registered a case under the UAPA in Delhi, in which the names of these two accused were mentioned in the FIR. They are accused of being involved in violence in Bangladesh as well as allegedly spreading unrest in India. Following questioning inside the correctional home on Monday, investigators confirmed that the two individuals named in the FIR were indeed Faizal Karim Masu and Alamgir Hossain. Subsequently, the NIA officials took them to Delhi for further investigation. They were arrested by Bengal STF recently.
