Not theological questions. A simple common sense is enough to sort that. Baptism is voluntary after having preached to the person and the person has accepted to take it. However if in the middle of the process the person changes their mind. You don't force them.

Last Saturday, we held the Jesus Revolution Baptism at Pirate’s Cove. This of course is the Site of the Baptisms of the Jesus Movement. But we never had a baptism like what happened yesterday. We baptized 4500 people! There was a line of folks waiting by the seawall. People Came from all around the Nation and World! This may be the largest baptism in American history, maybe world history. God Knows, but it was AMAZING! We give Him all the Glory! It reminds me of what happened on the day of Pentecost. “Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.” (Acts 2:41)

🔗: This is the sound of over 2,000 people singing in the rugged central highlands of Papua New Guinea… celebrating the creation of a new stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is now the 4th new stake in the country in the last 14 months. In addition to the new stake, 129 people entered the waters of baptism that same weekend with hundreds more scheduled for baptism. The Church in Papua New Guinea is growing faster than meetinghouses can be built. Many people arrived at the makeshift meetinghouse the night before the stake conference. One family who was being baptized walked 11 miles and slept at the front gate so they wouldn’t miss it. One man whose family was baptized said he has looked for God all his life. He added that he believes “Jesus Christ is here in this Church.” Elder Jeffery M. Nikoia, an Area Seventy who spoke at the conference, said “these wonderful people are coming together with the faith that the Lord will bless their lives and the lives of those around them.” Read more in the link above.

Hi there, my new LDS friends! 😍 I wanted to reintroduced myself, but just about the music this time. I’m Victoria! I was baptized last month into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The song I sang at my baptism was Amazing Grace. This is me singing it in a church in Europe. I’m moving to London next month, and it feels right to share this now. I used to sing all over the world. The Vatican, the House of Commons, Guildhall, even a #1 on the iTunes Classical charts! But since I entered the waters of baptism, I don’t want to live just for myself anymore. I want to sing church music. I want to sing music that’s God-filled. I’m working on an original song inspired by my baptism that I hope to release soon. This is who I am when I’m standing in a church, using the voice He gave me. I hope you’ll walk with me while I try to give it back to Him. Thank you for welcoming me. I’m still learning. I still have a million questions. But I know I was sent here to sing. Lord, send me 🙏🏼

Wonderful news. The Jesus Revolution baptism yesterday had 4,500 people baptized making it the largest baptism in US history. We praise God for how He is working in each person’s life. It is clear God is doing something significant in our nation and people sense a great revival. Greg Laurie told me, “There were never crowds like this 50 years ago in the Jesus Movement. This is new and fresh. What’s happening is clearly inspired by the Jesus People revival. People want to have their own revival today. This IS Revival-like. No question about it.”

In the 19th century, early members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Laie, Hawaii, were baptized at this beach. Years later, the Laie Hawaii Temple was built just a few hundred yards directly in front of this beach. This is a beautiful representation of the connection in covenant making—first to be baptized, then going to the temple to make further covenants there.
