A massive glacier collapse on the Nepal-Tibet border has triggered catastrophic flash flooding and mudslides. On Wednesday morning, an enormous chunk of ice snapped off a high-altitude glacier, plunging over a vertical kilometer into the valley bottom. Glaciologists report that this massive ice avalanche blocked the Lhende Khola river,... a tributary of the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers. The temporary dam rapidly failed, releasing a towering, apocalyptic wall of water, mud, and heavy debris that violently tore through downstream mountain settlements and border facilities.show more

This is the moment of the glacier breaking

Horrific. But take that stupid, sensationalistic music out. PEOPLE ARE DYING in the images.

This is so sad, many lost lives. Hope the survivors can bear the pain of what they lost and experienced. So tragic.

Nepal 🇳🇵 🚨

As deadly as tsunami

Reminds me of the Tsunami scene on the border of Tibet and Nepal from the movie 2012

Prayer to everyone's way in the damage path. One of the most intense floods ive ever seen from a disaster that is rare. God bless everyone.

Heartbreaking to watch.

As tragic as it is, we need a global shift in thinking, lifestyle #choices, governmental and instittuional decision making and #priorities. We need to create systems where people, animal and plant life is looked after, so that nobody has to make choices inimical to our collective wellbeing. We have to take away the incentives and pressures for mindless human activity and economic growth. We have to shift if we want to live. #capitalism #postcapitalism #consumption #choices #degrowth #change #responsibility #life #humanity #climatechange #climatedisaster

They’re calling it a glacier collapse into the valley. That’s why it didn’t look like rain. It looked like the mountain gave way. Hundreds still missing on both sides of the border.

One minute it’s peaceful, calm, tranquil with the birds singing. Next minute…APOCALYPSE! Ya’ never know.👀😕

Music playing along with visuals of a devastating flood 😳😵‍💫

How do you outrun the forces of nature🙏🏾. Truly devastating. The world stand with Tibet and Napel in prayers.

If the videos making the internet are real then the reported numbers are underestimated.

Earthquake in Nepal triggers landslides and flash flooding. 400+ missing including 33 Americans. Over 150 confirmed dead- so far. Developing story. Numbers will rise. Praying for everyone affected 🙏💔

Life can end so quickly. Don’t enter eternity without Jesus as your Redeemer and defender.

Truly sad! This is so hard to watch! Dear God please watch over Nepal and Tibet, you have power over the waters. Amen

So where did all that water come from. Don’t say rain. Way too much water to be rain. Would have to have a lake sitting on top of a mountain to let that much water drop down. Earthquake don’t xause that much water either. Man made problem

OMG. When it’s your time, even running away is not enough.

😉🙏

Where are all the ‘God is so cool, God is so amazing, God is the greatest’ comments that are on this app everyday for this?

日本でも今日は洪水 水の災害は止めようがない とりあえず高いところに逃げるしかない

Hey religious fanatics... was this "God's will"?

... and somebody decided to put music under that. No shame left here, apparently.

🙏😉

Poor people this is horrific

Chinese development in the mountains caused a glacial lake to burst.
