@CarolineLucas Britain should have many more oilfields. Will create many jobs and reduce reliance on foreign regimes. Most UK oil is used to make plastic, bitumen, medicine, chemicals etc. As we adopt electric cars (thanks Elon!) we use an ever smaller % of extracted oil as a fossil fuel.

@CarolineLucas The stakes couldn't be higher. This is a reckoning for this climate wrecking proposal. The time for talking about Net Zero and our climate obligations is over; it has to be backed up by actions. Next week is an opportunity to accomplish just that!

@CarolineLucas Sorry, I can't support this because we need fossil fuel. The only way I could ever support any reduction in fossil fuel is a serious discussion about nuclear power. There never is one, so we not only need oil fields, but we need to open the mines again.
