It's never personal Colin, they'll always go for easiest wins. It happens all the time unfortunately (most internet network traffic is malicious traffic). If you can, get 2FA set up on your account and use a password manager on your devices. They help a lot.

No problem, it hits us all at some time. 2 factor authentication applications are free to use and any platform. Just remember to backup the keys it generates. Spare mobile phones can be useful, if you don't want to carry everything in your pocket.

@KCTheColin sorry, I was remiss in not mentioning. Put 2FA on *all* online accounts. Bank, email, everything. It's truly a minimal step to take these days.
