His three tank mates - Shlomi, Shoham, and Yuli - were all killed. Asaf suffered from burns over 85% of his body. He was in a coma for a few weeks. When Asaf woke up his first words were: “I must return to fighting in Gaza and I must go to the graves of my soldiers.” Yesterday, thanks to God, incredible doctors, and Asaf’s will to live and heal, he moved from the intensive care unit to the rehab unit. Asaf heard that his tank division was holding a ceremony to mark their leaving Gaza. He felt that he had to be there. The very first Hurricane Helene survivor EmergencyRV sheltered was a 103-year-old World War II Veteran. He had lost his home to flooding in Yankeetown, Florida and was sleeping in his truck. We believe no Veteran should ever be left unsheltered after a natural disaster. 🇺🇸 God bless our Veterans and thank you for supporting our mission.
