The devices to check the genuineness and validity of licence is not ready, or haven't been issued to officers, but you went ahead and passed the law which tells drivers not to physically give their licence to officers. Then, just tell the officers to stop checking licences.

The driver requested their assistance for a physical altercation that was occurring on the bus. As the officers approached the bus, the front door opened and 22-year-old Devin Spraggins exited. With their attention directed to Spraggins by civilian witnesses and the bus driver, the officers attempted to speak with him to investigate the incident on the bus.
