The daughter refuses, arguing that she shouldn’t have to pay anything simply because she lives with her mom. Is the mom being reasonable by asking her daughter to contribute, or is... show more

Does the 18 year old eat air at home?! Air is free food isn’t! Pay your mother girl

Parent do this alot, just indirectly letting you know it's time you need to go be on your own

It is hard to communicate when yelling. The emotions are high. Later after they blow off steam they can talk - hopefully...

50-100 buckz ain't much for her to contribute especially when she gonna telling her mama how grown she gonna having her friends over and her boyfriend anyway✅️💯

Moms not wrong that 18 year old probably don’t clean up just work and come home and make a mess and be lazy if you can’t do anything else around the house then yo “GROWN “ ass needs to contribute financially then

They both have a point

When I got my first job at 16 I offered to pay ironically my mother who raised me to be like that refused to let me pay anything. I love her to death and I still contribute we even had a slight argument over it because she wouldn’t accept it.

My response to this is, what was MOM instilling in this child the previous 18 years? If taught correctly, this never becomes a drama filled thing as seen in this video.

The streets more expensive Samyah. Pay that $100.

it’s a lesson of responsibility 50-100 bucks is completely reasonable You got a fast food or retail job? 50 You have a good paying job? 100 And when you’re ready to move out I give it all back to you

Does she have the idea she's going to be alone some day

Black people gotta stop treating the age of 18 like its a grand defining moment of adulthood.

This falls on the mother because he’s she raised her in a proper way this wouldn’t be a topic. The mother sound extremely ghetto.

This just doesn’t make sense to me! Thank you lord Heavenly Father for providing me with wholesome parents and family! When I graduated law school my parents didn’t charge me nothing. When I moved out at 24 I bought my First home. This is Ghetto! We have to do better

Any1 defendin da mom Stfu our culture fucked up thinkin kids should ever be repayin or paying for shi our parents shoulda been figured out b4 even thinking of having kids. If yall life is fucked up close ya fucking legs or take plan b birth control control wtv stop doin ts 🤦🏿♂️

My son 21 I don’t make him contribute nothing cause my bills paid, but he pays for his own uber to work, until he brought him a car, all hygienic needs, he pays for all his extra like out food going out or anything else he needs.

If parent relies on their child to pay bills, the parent failed! If the parent gets mad @ the child because of it, the parent fails again! If the parent did not put money aside to lay the foundation for that child’s future when they become an adult, the parent failed! No excuses!

She is standing 2 feet away from you. What the hell are you screaming for.

She’s an adult with a job living rent free, $50 to ya mama to help her isn’t a big issue. Move out and see real quick bills way more then that 😂

Forcing her to contribute won’t change anything

Mom is right.

I mean, before I turned 18 I was out the house BUT my parents already told me as a freshman in HS “you 18 in my house you help with bills” so I already knew what was coming…..and I left at 16 🤷🏽 cuz I’ll pay my own bills & did!

How her mom acting 🤣🤣🤣 sounds like mom need another occupation asking a child for her lil coins. Old and broke people be the most miserable people on this planet. You shouldn't be broke 50+

Here's my perspective, she's 18 and has a job but still depends on her mother to do everything, all her mom is asking for is $50-$100 and to help her out and she can't do that, her mom provides the rest like home, food, clothes, electricity, water, and insurance. Daughter wrong.

I don’t see anything wrong with contributing to household. I did it without my mom asking me. I even bought groceries after I moved out into my own place. She gone learn the hard way.

Damn $50 /$100 every pay check. She ain't wrong. Daughter should make her way to work since she working. Just saying or fill her tank. She got a roof over her head and food. Stop bitching and leave the house were you gonna pay more than your mom's asking

$50-100 is more than reasonable in this climate. It’s a lot going on but I’ll just assume mom asked for gas and daughter got offended and now we are here. Entitlement gets you nowhere. Especially when you think you grown and still need your parents. Just help where you can damn.

Samaya do better but i’m sure this is a lot deeper than a 2:30min video good luck to you both ✌🏼🤟🏼

I'm going to keep it real simple too many people feel like they should be living for free when especially if you give a damn about your parents you supposed to want to help out and some small fashion or large it's called giving a damn

Take care of your mother u selfish bitch. U eat your mom's food use her gas and have a worm bed at night. You should be excited that when u get $ you can help your loving mother. What if she said LEAVE!!! u wouldn't last 5 min sleeping under a bridge

its definitely weird for the mom to be so aggrovated and ask for the money, but at 18 living with your mom and still making her pay for your shit while you relax and keep your money is selfish and ignorant asf

Kick her out see if she sings a different tune. Sometimes kids just need a tune up.

Got a deal with mine. invest 80 percent and stay at home until you're ready to leave.

See the problem with a lot of y’all is y’all show that yelling I need children. A freshly 18-year-old should not be asked for any type of money or should be contributing to my house. The only entitled one here is the parent.

More than reasonable. These kids will never learn responsibility if everything is always handed to them. What’s $50–$100 to them? They’ll spend that on nails, hair,& other things without thinking twice. Sometimes you have to let them learn how toprioritize and take responsibility
