🚨 A moment NASCAR will never forget🤩 Bubba Wallace had just won Stage 2 at Richmond Raceway when a pit stop failure sent his left-front wheel rolling away. His race looked finished. So he pulled into the nearest pit stall… It belonged to rival Chase Briscoe. Instead of letting... show more

When he needed it most, help came from the unexpected ❤️ At the 2025 race in Richmond, Bubba Wallace was having a strong run, winning Stage 2 and running near the front, when everything nearly fell apart during a pit stop. A loose lug nut on the left front wheel went unnoticed, creating a dangerous situation. As soon as his crew realized, they urgently radioed him to pull in. In the chaos, Wallace stopped in the pit box of a rival team, the crew of Chase Briscoe at Joe Gibbs Racing. What happened next showed pure respect. Without hesitation, the rival crew stepped in, lifted the car, secured the wheel, and sent him back out safely. In a sport built on competition, that moment stood out. For a few seconds, rivalry disappeared and safety came first.

Still going through my files and my memories of media scrums with Kyle Busch. This was from Bristol in 2023. Kyle won at virtually every racetrack he competed on in NASCAR, and that included the Bristol Dirt Race in 2022 - his final win with Joe Gibbs Racing. Still, he was in favor of Bristol's spring race returning to its standard concrete configuration when I asked him about that announcement. "I think that's a fine call. Not sure any of us NASCAR guys prefer driving the NASCAR-style cars on dirt. So being back on (the) traditional surface I think has rendered itself acceptable." This media scrum also included discussion of a pit crew change on the 8 team in the midst of that year's playoffs. Kyle made it to the Round of 12 in the playoffs and wound up 14th in the championship standings in what would be his last Chase/playoff season.

Whenever I say that Nascar is rigging these races for 23XI, people think I’m joking. I’m not. Here’s 5 different cars racing directly through the so-called “oil spill” that Nascar threw a caution for with 15 laps to go. Also included loop of vid of Brad k showing exact are nascar claims there was oil. Also, Nascar waited for 52 seconds to throw this caution. You know why? So they could throw it exactly when Bubba came to pit road, completely negating the loss of position he would’ve had with a green flag stop. They did this for Reddick too. In all, this caution gained 23XI around 35 positions on the track. See my chart with arrows that shows where these cars would’ve been running had they pitted under green and lost the ~35 seconds to do so. Reddick would’ve lost ~10 in a green flag stop Bubba would’ve lost ~15 And Herbst had already pitted, he was in 20th at the time, he restarted 10th, so this gained him 10 spots.

Kyle Larson has made it to Iowa in time to race in tonight's Knoxville Nationals. This is how it became possible on the NASCAR end of things in Richmond. With around 114 laps to go, crew chief Cliff Daniels informed Larson that Knoxville was in a delay and that they were working on plans for him. Once the checkered flag fell, Daniels told Larson that he had been excused from NASCAR media obligations and that it was still raining in Knoxville but the race hadn't been canceled yet. "We've got arrangements for you leaving here and once you get on the ground there. So once you get out of the car, hustle up." "OK. Thank you guys." Kyle then parked at the end of pit road, unbuckled, and took off.

CARstappen confirmed. 💯 This is perhaps one of the reasons why he will never be considered the GOAT, because no TRUE racer would ever say that they'd rather not race wheel-to-wheel . . . That's like a tennis player saying they'd rather win every point via an ace serve instead of an exciting back-and-forth rally. Note: This could also be a key factor as to why Verstappen runs the competition off the track whenever he's challenged. He's hardly had to race anyone over the past couple seasons, yet the moment he has to (Vegas 2023 for example) he's running them off the track. 😑

"The Betrayal at Falkirk" – Mel Gibson does not film a hero confronting betrayal. He films the one thing betrayal cannot take from a man. Many people remember the Battle of Falkirk for the moment William Wallace tears the helmet from a masked knight. Beneath it is Robert the Bruce. The man in whom Wallace had placed his greatest hope. It is the most devastating betrayal in Braveheart. Yet what makes this one of the film's defining moments is not the betrayal itself. It is Wallace's response. He does not strike. He does not condemn. He says nothing. He simply looks at Robert. Then he collapses. That is the true center of the scene. Mel Gibson could have ended this moment with rage. With vengeance. With a hero delivering justice to a traitor. Instead, he strips all of that away. He leaves only two men facing one another. One has betrayed the cause they once shared. The other has watched his greatest hope fall apart before his eyes. At that moment, the most important battle is no longer being fought on the battlefield. It is being fought within the human heart. What brings Wallace to his knees is not a sword. It is the truth. Not simply that he has lost an ally, but that the man he believed could one day carry Scotland's future has chosen another path. Mel Gibson never turns Wallace into a hero who feels no pain. He allows him to be devastated. But he also shows something that never falls. Betrayal may break Wallace's heart. It cannot break his character. It cannot turn him into a man consumed by vengeance. It cannot make him abandon the very principles for which he has fought. Wallace's body collapses. His character does not. That is also the moment Robert the Bruce begins to change. Mel Gibson does not transform him through a speech. Nor simply because Wallace spares his life. Robert changes because, for the first time, he encounters a man whose character cannot be bent by circumstance. All his life, Robert has been taught to measure every decision by power, advantage, and political necessity. Wallace reveals another possibility. That there are people who refuse to let circumstances decide who they are. They let their character decide instead. Wallace does not persuade Robert with words. He forces him to confront a far more difficult question: What kind of man do I want to become? That is why Robert ultimately becomes the man who fulfills the dream Wallace never lives to see. Not because Wallace leaves him a crown. But because he leaves him something far greater. A standard. The example of a man who could lose everything without losing himself. Perhaps that is why Mel Gibson does not end the Falkirk sequence with victory. He ends it with a man brought to his knees. Because sometimes adversity is not there to reveal how strong a person is. It is there to reveal what within them cannot be taken away. And in the end, it is precisely that which cannot be taken away that possesses the power to transform another human being— and, ultimately, to change the course of history. #WATCH | Delhi | On Delhi resident Kamal Dhyani's death after falling into a pit on his bike in Janakpuri, his mother Shanti Dhyani says, "My son had gone to find him. But couldn't. Even the Police couldn't find him. Then someone picked up his phone in the morning and told us he had fallen into a pit. He told me yesterday that I have the next day off, so we will celebrate your anniversary. He had bought things for the celebrations, but never came back. All we want is justice."

Cleetus McFarland uploaded his video recapping his NASCAR O'Reilly Series debut and first Top 5 in ARCA a few hours ago. It's a mix of video from the track, onboard footage and Cleetus' commentary on what he was experiencing. This snippet is about finishing the race on scuffs because he flatspotted the tires he was supposed to finish the race on with his spin. "My only goal in that moment was 'do not ruin the leader's race.' I had to just baby the thing around the track because anything I did, it was so loose. "This was probably one of the most intense moments I've ever had in my racing career on these last few laps just trying to stay out of the way. And I still got hit!"

There was a parent who lost a child to the needle. Not lost to death, which at least lets you grieve and one day stop. Lost to the street. To the years of disappearing, the phone that stops being answered, the front door left unlocked every single night for a decade on the chance the child might finally come through it. And the parent never stopped. Did not move on. Did not decide the child was too far gone. Drove to the worst parts of town to scan the faces under the overpass. Searched for years, going gray with it, burying the hope a hundred times and digging it back up every morning, because a parent does not get to stop loving a child just because the child is lost. And then came the day it finally happened. The child, hollowed out, certain they were beyond all loving, looked up, and there was the parent's face. And neither of them could speak. They just held on, and they wept, the kind of weeping that has years of grief and years of longing pouring out of it at once, the child sobbing the only word they could find, sorry, sorry, and the parent saying the only word that mattered, which was not "where have you been" and not "do you know what you did to me," but only, over and over into their hair, you're home, you're home, you're home. Now understand. That is not just a real story about a parent and a child. That is God, and that is humanity. No one is forgotten by the Father. He did not fold His arms and wait at home for you to crawl back and prove you were worth it. The moment you were lost, He came after you. And the cost He paid to reach the very bottom of your pit was not patience, and it was not effort. It was His Son, sent down below all of it, so there would be no depth where His face was not already waiting for you to find it. So hear this, wherever it finds you. You were never forgotten, not for one second, not in the worst of it. The door has been unlocked every night since the day you left. He is still driving the worst parts of town. He is still scanning the faces under the overpass. He is still weeping over the ones who are certain they have fallen too far to ever come back. And the moment you turn around, you will not hear "where have you been." You will only hear, said over and over into your hair, the one thing that has been true since before the foundation of the world: you're home, you're home, you're home. Stop running. Come home.

“Just give them your stuff and you’ll be fine.” That’s the lie people repeat until a case like this exposes it. A man in London was targeted over what the robbers believed was a £300,000 watch. The watch was fake. He was outnumbered. He had every incentive to hand it over and survive. They stabbed him anyway. That is the problem with the compliance argument. It only counts the people who handed over their property and lived to tell the story. It ignores the people who complied and still got hurt, because they are not around to explain what went wrong. This man was not in a negotiation. He was marked before he ever left the restaurant. A security guard allegedly filmed him, sent the information out, and four men followed him to his car. So where was the compliance supposed to happen? Gun control did not stop the violence. Disarming normal people did not remove evil from the street. It just left the victim with fewer options when evil showed up. If you choose to comply in that moment, that is your call. But do not legislate the rest of us into your victim mentality.

At the Daytona 500 in February of 2001 Dale Earnhardt Sr. hit the wall at the end and tragically lost his life. In July NASCAR returned for the first time. It was the first BIG race I went to. I had been to the pocono infield many times but this was Daytona. I was a Jimmy Spencer fan at that point but what I saw that night left me speechless and teary eyed. I watched a man take the victory at a track that took his dad's life. Every one in that place was a junior fan that night. It is absolutely one of my most fond memories.

Okay, here's what I THINK Bubba Wallace might have been upset with Christopher Bell over. This was coming to 8 to go Bubba was called to pit road in the esses past Turn 1 with Bell and Todd Gilliland on his bumper. But coming out of the carousel, Bell got a run to Bubba's right side, and the 20 team didn't inform him that the 23 was pitting until Bell was alongside him. It put Bubba in a tough spot getting to pit road, as he couldn't just try to cut across Bell's nose (Cody Ware was there and limping around), and he had to slow down to let Bell, Gilliland, and Riley Herbst pass just so he could make pit entry. I didn't hear Bubba say any cross word towards Bell over his radio so it's hard to know definitively. I also tried to look at Todd Gilliland's onboard to see if there was any contact, hand signals or anything but the 34's onboard was out and audio only the whole race.

NEW: Brawl breaks out on live TV between NASCAR drivers Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch and their teams after a 2nd lap crash. The incident happened after Busch sent Stenhouse into the wall on Lap 2. After the race, Busch approached Stenhouse Jr. and made sure to have plenty of cameras around. “I felt like Kyle and I have always raced each other really hard back to the Nationwide Series when we were competing for wins week in and week out, never had any issues,” Stenhouse said to Fox after the fight. “I wrecked him one time at Daytona and he's kind of badmouthed me ever since then.” “I feel like we get along with each other OK outside the race track, I talk to him quite a bit and I'm not sure why he was so mad that I shoved it three-wide but he hit the fence and kind of came off the wall and ran into me and I don't know, when I was talking to him he kept saying that I wrecked him.”

Remembering Bryan Clauson today, who died on this date 10 years ago of injuries suffered in a racing accident. This is Clauson's first and only attempt to try and make a NASCAR Cup Series race. After rain kept him from qualifying at Charlotte or Atlanta in the fall of 2008, Clauson tried to qualify for his Cup debut at Texas but pounded the wall off Turn 2 on both of his time trial laps and wasn't fast enough to make the field as a result. Clauson was supposed to run in the Nationwide Series full-time in 2009, but a planned sponsorship deal at Chip Ganassi fell through during the offseason and his team shut down as a result. He proceeded to go open wheel racing instead, building a legacy for himself as a USAC champion, a Chili Bowl winner, and a National Sprint Car Hall of Famer.

In 1974 a professor stood in front of a hall of children, lifted a spinning wheel weighing 40 pounds over his head with one arm, and told them Newton's laws might not cover what they just saw. The Royal Institution had been publishing its Christmas Lectures since 1825. His they did not publish. The man is Eric Laithwaite. Not a crank on the fringe. He invented the linear induction motor, the technology under maglev trains, and held the chair of heavy electrical engineering at Imperial College. The demonstration is the part you have to see. The wheel is dead weight, so heavy that lifting it normally takes real effort. Spun up to 2,500 revolutions per minute it goes up over his head as if someone removed most of it. He is not straining. That is the whole problem. The physics establishment came down on him hard, and his reputation never fully recovered. The standard answer is that nothing is being violated and the effort simply moves somewhere you are not watching. Laithwaite spent the rest of his life saying that answer arrives too quickly and explains too little. Watch the wheel go up, then decide who you think is right. The whole set of lectures sat unavailable for decades. The Royal Institution finally put them online, free, and the controversial one has barely 4 thousand views. Science does not stop being science when the demonstration is uncomfortable. Somebody has to lift the wheel again. One wheel. 2,500 rpm. It is in the video.

Science does not stop being science when the demonstration is uncomfortable. Somebody has to lift the wheel again. One wheel. 2,500 rpm. It is in the video.

Look at this. This is the heart of Israel. An IDF soldier gives his wife one last tender kiss before heading out to the front. He leaves his home, his bed, and the woman he loves to go into the darkness so we can sleep in the light. And look at her. She is a lioness. She takes that kiss, hides her fear, and goes back inside to take care of the kids and the home, not knowing when she’ll see him again. This is the price of our freedom. This is why we will never, ever be defeated. Behind every hero in green, there is a hero at home waiting in the shadows. Thank you for your sacrifice, your bravery, and your soul. You are the lions and lionesses of Judah. ✡️🇮🇱

All right, let's break this down because I've seen a lot of 9 fans calling for Alan Gustafson's head and an apology to their driver. A long clip that starts before the last caution and goes through the red flag and pit stop: - You do not hear either a call for 2 tires or 4 tires. Could that be from ... - The team being on channel 2? Or was AG on channel 2 and Elliott didn't hear it? - Does HBO actually give every single radio transmission during a race? Was it just not on the HBO coverage? - Did the 9 team have radio issues where things weren't going through? For instance, notice the static when Elliott is on pit road coming toward his box, as if someone is keying up. Gustafson later says that he said it while Elliott was on pit road. - The "2 clean in" does not mean 2 tires. It means two clean boxes for Elliott to come into his stall. A lot of frustration for the team here, and that's understandable.
