@AlistairCarns Carns should spend more time sorting out vets problems. He shows little initiative in this regard. He looks lost and confused. Vets deserve better...

We have a commitment— from the start to finish —to take care of our service members and Veterans. That’s why Veterans Affairs is working closely with @deptofwar to make military transitions easier and get Veterans the benefits they’ve earned.

Veterans deserve separate legislative attention and special respect. And this must apply not only to veterans themselves, but also to veterans’ families. Unfortunately, this is still not fully reflected in state policy or in communities’ work. But the family of a veteran, the family of our fallen warrior, the family of someone missing in action, the family of a prisoner of war – families must be full-fledged subjects of veterans policy. I ask the Government of Ukraine, together with the Verkhovna Rada and veterans themselves, to prepare the relevant legislative proposals. And perhaps, if there is a need for it – and to ensure that proper respect is reflected in legislation – perhaps we should codify the legislation concerning veterans and adopt a Veterans Code. I ask government officials and members of Parliament to discuss this with the veteran community and provide feedback on it. From the address at the 9th International Veterans Forum (1/3)

Coming to the end of an important week at Office for Veterans' Affairs and we hosted a round table of veterans and bereaved families from the Iraq War, which started 20 years ago this week. I pay tribute to their courageous service and sacrifice on behalf of the Nation, which we never forget

U.S. Army veteran Jon Gundersen on Trump's Arc: "This is not a monument to veterans. This is a monument to the ego of one man…It's disrespectful for veterans. It's not the way to honor veterans. So we decided to do a lawsuit."
