Incoming jokes from my followers aside, this is actually a tricky situation. When you have a wound as deep as its shown in the video, the pathogen C. Tetani(causative agent for tetanus) can wreak havock. C. Tetani is an obligate anaerobe meaning the presence of oxygen can eliminate it. So usually when you have a more superficial wound, you dont have to worry about as even penetrations that are more superficial can usually have the oxygen in your blood get rid of the pathogen. However, when its this deep it creates a better anaerobic environment for C. Tetani to thrive and reproduce. If left untreated it can cause the lockjaw condition and eventually lead to the pic below.

Dang, thats a severe example 😅 I stepped on a nail as a kid but just went in and out. Through the whole foot is awful.

Immediate first aid includes removing the nail carefully, controlling bleeding with gentle pressure, cleaning the wound with antiseptic, and applying a sterile dressing. Medical evaluation is necessary to determine if a tetanus booster is required (especially if the last shot was over five years ago) and to assess for deep tissue damage or foreign debris. In some cases, antibiotics may be needed to prevent cellulitis or deeper infections like osteomyelitis (bone infection). If the wound shows redness, swelling, pus, or worsening pain, medical attention is urgent to prevent complications. X-rays may be done if bone involvement is suspected, especially in deep punctures.
