Yatta shows off her perfect new baby, Yara, to the Keepers who raised her. She knows this is also a proud moment for us honorary ‘grandparents’! Yatta was a similar size to Yara when her own mother was killed by poachers. We rescued the little orphan and spent the next decade-plus raising her. Today, Yatta is a matriarch, a mother of four, and a grandmother. She leads a fully wild life, but chooses to visit home periodically and includes us in her biggest milestones — like the birth of a new baby. Read more:

At some point in our lives, we will be the one who needs help. It maybe be in a small way or in a big way, but we will all have to ask for help. Be the kind of person who offers help before someone has to ask. This bus driver stops everyday and literally picks the young lady up and carries her on the bus. That’s not part of his job description, that is from his heart! This gentleman sees a need and fills the need with kindness. Would you ever go the extra mile for someone, not because you have to, but because you can? It cost nothing to be kind!

IS THIS AUCKLAND… OR ANOTHER COUNTRY? Here are Muslim in Auckland today, Alexandra Park, Ellerslie. Praying en masse as a part of their EID Celebrations. Not quietly, not privately…but right out in the open. What is happening to our country? We’ve seen scenes like this in London, Sydney… but now in Auckland? WTH! New Zealand was built on Christian values. Faith. Family. Freedom. Those values shaped our laws, our culture, and the way we live together. But now? We’re expected to stay quiet… and pretend nothing’s changing. Kiwis are not blind. We can see the shift. We can feel it. New Zealand, no longer looks like New Zealand. It’s noticeable in cities like Auckland…40% of this city were born overseas. What we saw today wasn’t just a one-off moment… it’s a sign of a much bigger shift happening across New Zealand. Foreign religions are sending a message…they are here to take over our nation. Mass immigration is changing the face of our country…fast. Faster than our culture can absorb. Kiwis were never asked for this level of change. And when migration happens at a pace with no expectation to integrate… we don’t get unity… 👉 we get parallel cultures. 👉 we get division. 👉 we lose what made this nationstrong. 👉 we lose our Kiwi Way of Life. When public spaces become platforms for foreign religions, it raises a fair question: Where do we draw the line? We must not lose our Kiwi identity. We have gently expanded May’s world since she returned to the rescue, with the help of our visiting behaviourist Charlene who knows her better than anyone. May is a dog who needs to stay with us. She is the product of bad breeding, profoundly deaf and with eyes that receive light differently. So we are doing all we can to make her life as rich as possible - getting all her cuddles in but also making some dog friends. This is what not giving up on a dog looks like. Unconditionally loved by the team and her Auntie Charlene, and all the volunteers who walked and sat with her when she was being assessed at The Hayloft Pet Services 💜
