The tech might be awesome, but if you're not able to keep the price above 10$ even during bearmarkets, then it will be hard to gain trust. Now it looks like it literall goes to 0... with all my belief, the market trajectory looks awful...

Project seems dead in the water. After the ill-fated branding and DEX hack. The whole "metaverse" rebranding has been overtaken by AI, the Apple-like, walled garden approach to apps has been disastrous: liquidity and developers have left. Will Supernova address all this?

A new kind of camera for a new kind of artist. What used to be hard, expensive, and gate-kept will be cheap and accessible. To everyone, not just the few. Many new voices we haven't heard from before. Independent and free. Still, after all, the only thing that will matter is what you're trying to tell.

We’re killing Genesis to build a new world. What began as an experiment in fair launch and open participation was powerful early on, but it can’t scale to what’s next. After listening to builders, Virgens, and the data, the path forward is clear: Genesis ends here. A new launch model is coming, built for scale, built for the next wave of agents, built to last. Virgen Points will provide an initial head start in the new world and will be phased out over the next four weeks. veVIRTUAL holders ($VIRTUAL stakers) will continue to gain strong, ongoing benefits as the new model unfolds. Details coming soon. Get ready.

European solidarity has a face. The face of each firefighter who battled the flames through Europe this summer. They are true heroes. Their courage, and for some, their sacrifice, will always be remembered. My State of the Union address will pay tribute to them.

I finished the modelling of the first project of the year. A 1/20 scale #Allosaurus next to a 1/18 #Homotherium I made a few years ago and never painted. Now I have to add some details and observations that the client could make and then comes the painting stage

1999. Jeff Bezos, six months before the Nasdaq peak, sits across from an interviewer who wants a stock pick. Bezos gives him an epistemology instead. It is very easy to predict there will be lots of winners born of the Internet. It is very hard to predict who those companies are going to be. Then he reaches back to the PC revolution of 1980. Nobody in 1980 could have picked the five biggest winners of the next twenty years. Amazon at that moment: 3,000 employees, 4 million square feet of distribution, $0.30 a foot for warehouse against $7 a foot for a retail lease. The interviewer calls it a gamble on razor-thin margins. Bezos calls it scale. The frame is the whole trade. The winners of a technology cycle are legible in the aggregate and illegible in the specific. Everyone knew there would be Internet giants. Almost nobody bought and held the specific ones that became giants for the next twenty-five years. Transpose it. Everyone knows there will be AI giants. The names on the leaderboard in 2050 will not be the consensus five names on it today. Some will be. Most will not. The interviewer accused Bezos of corporate arrogance for entering categories he had no experience in. The question aged into a museum piece. The framework did not.

With Alpenglow, there will be no onchain voting anymore for achieving consensus. This removes the cost of including votes into blocks. However, in order to avoid abrupt change in economics for the validators and maintain same equilibrium, there is an ongoing discussion for this Solana upgrade to have a small form of incentive (like a tax) where the validators will have to pay to be part of the system next epoch. When determining the set of validators for the new epoch, the fee is deducted, and if a validator cannot pay the fee, they are not included in the next set of validators. Here is the writeup: Listen to the full episode for more details on Alpenglow!

Is the next great American golf club brewing down in South Carolina? The 21 Golf Club is soon to break ground and it’s plans look INCREDIBLE. A mind boggling level of boldness. The first course will be The Hammer. Designed by King Collins, they continue to push and redefine limits. Built on huge natural sand dunes, it looks to set itself apart from the many great courses in the area. It will have 18 holes, plus 3 bonus holes for settling bets! The 2nd course will be a feast for classic GCA fans. It will be based on an Alister MacKenzie design that never got built. An 18 hole routing with 9 double greens!! I expect the hype to be off the charts when construction starts. There are also plans for a lit short course, cottages, high end driving range, and a clubhouse designed by a renowned team. It will be a true destination club. The Carolina/Georgia Sandhills are booming with incredible golf and 21 Club will contend with the best of them! Another great rendering by Harris Kalinka
