ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਬਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਨੇ 21 ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 17 ਸੀਟਾਂ ਜਿਤਾ ਕੇ ਰੋਪੜ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉੱਥੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੁਸਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਥੇਬੰਦਕ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸੋਹੀਣੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
