Maël Le Lagadec, an 18-year-old from France, has made global headlines after accomplishing an impressive feat in the Pyrenees. On May 9, he carried a 35 kg wooden cross (1.10 m high, 70 cm wide, and 11 cm thick) on his back, along with a 15 kg backpack, for approximately 14 hours to Pic d’Aneto. At 3,404 meters in altitude, it is the highest point in the Pyrenees, located in Spanish territory (Aragon). The action was motivated by the vandalism of the original metal cross, which had stood at the summit since 1951. In mid-April 2026, the cross was sawn off with a grinder and stolen. Maël decided to build a new cross with his own hands, using black walnut wood. In a statement, he explained: "A few weeks ago, we discovered that the Aneto cross had disappeared. With a friend, we launched this somewhat crazy project to rebuild it." Accompanied by his friend, the young man completed the grueling ascent and, upon reaching the top, knelt down in emotion. "I arrive, I kneel, and I cry!" he recounted. The new cross now marks the summit of Aneto once again.

Celebrate fashion as an art form this spring at The Met! Opening May 10, 2026, “Costume Art” is The Costume Institute’s annual exhibition. Focusing primarily on Western art from prehistory to the present, the show will explore artistic representations of the dressed body, pairing fashions and artworks from the Museum’s vast collection to highlight the inherent relationship between clothing and the body. “Costume Art” is the inaugural exhibition in a new, nearly 12,000-square-foot suite of galleries adjacent to the Great Hall, which will display the department’s annual spring show and mark a new chapter for the Museum. The Met Gala fundraiser will celebrate the opening of “Costume Art” on Monday, May 4, 2026. #MetCostumeArt

Eighteen-year-old Maël Le Lagadec has drawn international attention after carrying a newly built wooden cross to the summit of Pic d’Aneto, the highest mountain in the Pyrenees. On May 9, the young Frenchman climbed for approximately fourteen hours while carrying the 35-kilogram cross on his back, together with a 15-kilogram backpack. Measuring 1.10 metres high, 70 centimetres wide and 11 centimetres thick, the cross was transported to an altitude of 3,404 metres in the Spanish region of Aragon. The extraordinary journey began after the original metal cross, which had marked the summit since 1951, was cut down with a grinder and stolen in April 2026. Refusing to leave the mountain without its Christian symbol, Maël and a friend decided to build a replacement themselves from black walnut wood. “A few weeks ago, we discovered that the Aneto cross had disappeared,” he explained. “With a friend, we launched this somewhat crazy project to rebuild it.” After enduring the exhausting ascent, Maël finally reached the summit and restored the Cross to its place above the Pyrenees. Overcome with emotion, he knelt beside it and wept. “I arrive, I kneel, and I cry.” Someone tried to remove the Cross from the mountain. An eighteen-year-old carried it back. ✝️🏔

How CryptoPunks Expanded from the Blockchain to the Traditional Art World 2019: "CryptoPunks have moved slowly from the blockchain art world into the establishment one... No one was proposing they appear in a typical art gallery, not until people familiar with the history of digital art... began to recognize the Punks for qualities other than their unique, collectible nature." I just saw a group of first responders praying around a giant cross in Kerr County, Texas. This is not far from where a 9-month-old who didn't make it was found in the debris a little while ago. These men and woman searching are beyond strong.

Trees love Jesus 😂? This is the Sinukuan tree from the Philippines, where it is known locally for a striking feature: when some of its branches are cut, the cross-section appears to reveal the shape of a cross. The tree is especially associated with Guimaras, where local accounts describe it as a rare and unusual natural sign. Some people have reportedly carved pieces of its wood and kept them as amulets, especially around Good Friday, believing the cross-shaped pattern carried protection. For Christians, the meaning must be understood properly. The wood itself has no power apart from God. A cross-shaped pattern in a tree should not be treated as magic. Its proper meaning is symbolic. It points back to the Cross of Christ, the instrument of our salvation and the sign by which Christians remember the Passion, death, and victory of Our Lord. The Philippines has one of the deepest Catholic cultures in Asia. It is not surprising that a natural cross found in wood would be read through Christian eyes, especially in a country where the Cross is present in homes, churches, processions, schools, roadsides, and public life. Creation often gives man reminders. A branch marked with the shape of the Cross should lead the soul to reverence, gratitude, and faith, not superstition. The Cross belongs at the center.

Earlier today, Naija Confra received reports that the Chief Butch£r of Aye (NBM) in Ogwashi Uku, Delta State, had cross-carpeted to Vikings (DNKI). Naija Confra contacted Aye sources in Ogwashi Uku, who stated that their Chief Butch£r is not missing. According to them, Vikings may have cross-carpeted either a junior Aye or a member of another cvlt group that resembles Aye, but not Aye. (Cross-carpeting video on TG). However, Vikings have insisted that the man is 100% the current Aye Butch£r, stating that he willingly cross-carpeted without force. They stated that he was a big name within Aye and that the process was done outside Ogwashi Uku for security reasons. According to them, they initially planned to carry out the initiation in Ibusa, but the area was not safe, so it was eventually done in Kwale. Naija Confra has obtained a video of the cross-carpeting process, which has been posted on Telgrm. Reject Cvltism.

Lebanon has just installed one of the largest statues of Jesus Christ the Redeemer in the Middle East, rising from the Mountain of the Cross in El Qaa. On March 14 the project reached a defining moment with the installation of the statue’s head. Even as tensions and bombardments continue in the region, construction has pushed forward, driven by the determination of the local community. Standing on the hills of Lebanon, the figure of Christ will watch over the valley with a simple message to the world: hope still rises.

I can’t believe this is the Cockpit Country, one of the largest forested areas in Jamaica. This region is so rich in biodiversity that scientists are still discovering plants and animals new to science. We haven’t even fully assessed the area yet. I really wonder how our plants and animals are doing up there, especially after everything we’ve been seeing across the island. Follow RoostersWorldja to learn more about nature. #CockpitCountry #Jamaica #Biodiversity #HurricaneMelissa #RoostersWorldja

🚨 COMPLETELY INSANE… OR INSPIRING? YOUNG ISRAELIS CROSS INTO SYRIA A group of young Jewish men breached the border into Syria and began building a makeshift outpost before being removed by IDF forces. The area is an active conflict zone, making the move highly dangerous and unauthorized. Still, the level of conviction, risking personal safety in pursuit of a vision tied to deep convictions is hard to ignore. What drives someone to cross into a war zone for an idea they believe in this strongly? I don’t condone this, but I can still be inspired by it. I think we all can. To find something we believe so deeply in. To take insane measures to see it come to fruition... Boost the algorithm: Bookmark, Share, Reply, Repost, Like and Follow Mossad Commentary
