A new prison program allows well behaved inmates to adopt cats from a local stray animal rescue center 🐱

The guy with the mean face aggressively petting the cat was so funny to me

Im not worried. Most people in prison dont hate animals, just people.

There’s something about this bro but I can’t figure it out 🤔

After a few weeks in prison

I don't think this is new, prisons have done this at different times for a long time. I personally think it's a good idea, cons are people too.

For the inmates who definitely want to be better, I highly endorse this.

Huh, I never would have thought that one case from Ace Attorney where the prison inmates are given pets for their rehabilitation into society would be something someone would actually try

They have some of the best programs for dog training. All for it. Those dogs are better cared for than in a lot of other settings.

How the cats and the rats interacted the 1st day in the prison:

I support this.

A prison, full of violent offenders, is no home for a cat. Cats deserve loving homes with enriched, clean and loving environments with cat-trees, toys & stimulation, not a prison where they're forced to be in a cell with an inmate. Cats committed no crime. This is animal cruelty!

Beautiful.

Cats are the closest things to angels we have on earth, their purrs quite literally heal us.

I am going to prison

Yikes.
