People ask me all the time, “Can a Democrat win in Oklahoma?” The answer is YES. Because Oklahoma is not a red state, it’s a gerrymandered state. Just two governors ago, we had a Democratic governor and a more balanced legislature. Today, Oklahoma is ranked 50th in quality of public education and 49th in access to affordable health care. After nearly two decades of one-party control, we are at the bottom of the lists that matter most to working families. It’s not because Oklahomans don’t care, it’s because the maps protect politicians instead of representing the people. Oklahomans want a governor focused on what actually affects their lives: strong public schools, affordable and accessible health care, and an economy that works for everyday families. Those are not partisan issues. They are Oklahoma priorities. At least 17 tornadoes were reported from Oklahoma to Iowa on Thursday, including a large and destructive tornado that tore through parts of Enid, OK, injuring at least 10 people and damaging 49 homes. Today is day 2 of a multi-day severe weather event in the Great Plains and Midwest with the threat for tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail this weekend into early next week. ABC News' Ginger Zee has more.

Together with other data, like the Greenness Index, this gives scientists insight into global carbon cycles and the health of the planet. On this day, 27 years ago, we chased what is well-known as the strongest #tornado in History. This shows the F5 tornado near peak intensity, just after devastating the community of Bridge Creek, Oklahoma. Aa freshman meteorology students at OU, we stupidly abandoned our Geo Tracker and took shelter under an overpass. Research was published that overpasses can accelerate the tornadic wind and be even more dangerous. We then saw the terrible devastation in Moore, Oklahoma with horses wandering down the highway and people emerging from their destroyed homes. Over 50 people lost their lives from the May 3, 1999 tornado outbreak. There was another massive violent tornado with a supercell to the north near Mulhall, Oklahoma that peaked after sunset. The tornado outbreak was still going when I woke up for class the next morning at 7 am. This is a day that Oklahomans will never forget. Enjoy the nice weather this May 3,

I have nothing to do with politics, but what happened today proves that the claim of improved security is a lie. You kept saying things were getting better, but that was not the truth.
