This is so funny. 😂 I also love the fact that we end up knowing each other from big events like bishop/cardinal visits or ordinations. I've lost count of how many times we've started talking to someone, and they say, "I remembered you from…" It's like we're a big family.

That’s exactly it. 😂 Somehow you meet a Catholic you’ve never spoken to before and five minutes later you’re comparing parishes, priests, and mutual friends. We really are a family. ❤️

I was raised Protestant but grew interested in Catholicism in midlife and I can relate to him, lol. It can be a steep learning curve but there is so much beauty to it. I appreciate Catholicism so much.

He forgot about when we’re watching Star Wars and the Jedis say: “May the force be with you”, we already think and accidentally say “and with your spirit”.

When I was already retired from 27 years in the Army and brand new to the Church, I kept saying sir to our parish priest. Finally someone pulled me aside, so as to avoid embarrassing me, and explained that Father was like his rank. So don't say, yes sir, no sir. Say yes Father or no Father. Everything flowed a little easier after that. 😂

I used to go to overnight adoration in Rio. We would go to a side door, when the sanctuary was already closed, and knock. The gate keeper would say aloud: "Hail, Jesus Christ in the sacrament!". The answer was "through Him we are saved". And he would know he could let you in.
