I really do feel for Ugbo. Obviously we look to him for goals and when he’s not scoring, he will likely get criticised. But I feel his performance on the goal is generally good. He really really just needs something to fall for him

Think you are over playing Ugbos contribution here. Windass fair enough but Smith opened up opportunities a number of times 2nd half that were wasted by the wide players. Smith also linked play really well when he came on in the derby & his goals are vital.

Be interested to know where you think DR should strengthen in Jan. Personally I think we are screaming out for a CAM, someone that can get on the ball and drive into the box. Poveda gave us that last season

I think the point about windass and the fans may be because they see what potential he has, but seems to waste it too often.

First clip i am showing from yesterday is the first goal. Now, Wednesday were doing ok before the goal. Battling hard, winning second balls and getting up the pitch. The Svante chance, our best one, was on 4 mins. The first goal ended the contest, and whilst Valery is the main culprit for losing the ball, it came from a chance to get the ball forward for us that we lost. When the ball comes out to Fusire on the right, there is great chance for a quick attack as united are 2vs2 in the final third. Svante & Ugbo should both run to the right side and work the channel. But Svante barely moves and Ugbo runs away from the ball. We end up going back, losing it and conceding. SUFC had 10 shots all game. We gave the ball away 6 times out of the 10 shots. They did not have to work for anything after this moment in the game. It is a Sheffield Derby, you have to simply play the occasion and get it forward and build chances. The difference between Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday in the last so many derbies is that we play it like it is just another game and employ the same tactics, whereas SUFC play it as a derby match.
