A note on yesterday's Transport Select Committee session - we're really disappointed that the Rail Minister misrepresented our agreements with various operators. It's not good enough. This dispute needs to be resolved but that must happen with honesty and respect.

Managers are paid £500 to drive trains on our strike days too. And for accommodation if they stay overnight when they finish late and aren't near home. They got a 10% payrise. One of our DM's used to chair ASLEF branch meetings. We're all sick of them lauding it about.

Who’s doing the job of the managers if they’re regularly driving trains? Absurd. I’m sure the relationship between these managers and their drivers is going well 🥴 Mad @HuwMerriman doesn’t want to pay drivers more but happily wants £90k managers out driving…

Harper, Merriman et al, spout this cos they're not held accountable. If this was in a court of law, this misleading info would be classed as perjury. It's not, so can they spout the drivel they want, in order to meet their agenda.

This #tory govt @MickWhelanASLEF is devoid of any integrity and ability. Railways like nearly every other public sector is being run down.Your members fight highlights the contempt being shown to staff pay & conditions. All whilst private companies are rewarded tax payers money!

We need more of this calling the lies from government ministers.

@bcl1973 Where’s the #ASLEFpodcast? Circumnavigate the right wing Tory media & put your information out to the masses for free. Educate the public on the role Unions play in the workplace & release information on industrial action & why it’s taking place

Honesty ? From THIS govt ? Good luck with that....

@supaned Honesty? Ministers? 😂🤣🤣🤣😅
