We thought we’d probably cry every day... but when the actual moment came, both of us felt like… we couldn’t. We didn’t cry the way we had imagined we would. FNC Boaster: “These events are, as you can probably imagine, quite tiring. We go from the upper bracket into three games in a row for the final days. That, on top of lots of media, lots of features, lots of just random stuff that we do. Not to mention the fact that when we go into our games, there’s a lot of adrenaline. After every game, my body aches and my head hurts, and then we have to somehow get to sleep, and then we’ve got to wake up early and stuff. So there’s loads of factors into this. It’s not just simply, you go in and you play. And I think we started slow today, especially on Corrode and Lotus. A big map was Lotus for us, and we weren’t able to, just everything wasn’t going our way. The Odin was completely annihilating us. Then when we got to Abyss, we were like, ‘This is the last chance.’ And I felt very confident that we could win this one, because I felt like I knew everything they did on the attack side. And then, what were we like 1–11 down or something? I was like, ‘Oh bloody hell, this one’s going to be a tough one, isn’t it?’ We managed to do it, and then I was like, ‘Holy guacamole, the dream is alive!’ And it felt amazing, hearing the crowd and being able to just do that, because it would’ve been so disappointing of a final to just bomb out there. But in the FNATIC way, we fight back. Ascent, we’re starting to feel the kind of momentum. And then it gets to Sunset, a map that was the one kind of perma-ban we had, but we had some stuff on it. Unfortunately, it was just the crucial map for us to get the win, and some of the rounds just didn’t go our way, and that’s how VALORANT goes, you know. It felt like the rounds that we needed to win, we lost, and then they had an ultimate the next round, and that’s how brutal it is on defense. If we had just been able to win one of those rounds, like the bonus round, holy guacamole, we would’ve been loving life. And it was the difference of like a 1v1 in the end. So yeah, I mean, we tried our best. That’s why I’m not that [sad]. jeonghan talking about seokhan’s jeju trip #도겸 😇 the jeju island trip with dokyeom was so fun but it was honestly so exhausting, i mean the filming itself wasn’t hard at all but since dokyeom and i went on a trip together for the first time in awhile and since it had the title of ‘travel’, once filming ended, we came back to our room and we’d drink together and we’d be like “should we just have one highball while catching up?” then we drank until 5am. then we’d wake up the next day and film hard again. then after we went back, we’d say “let’s not overdo it again.. just one highball” then we’d drink till 5am again. 😇 even when we’re drinking with the staff, they’d finish around 2am, neither of dokyeom and i would give up. one of us would be like “are you gonna go up?” no way then the two of us would keep drinking. then it’s the last day, since it’s the last day, we drank again. the day after that, we had a full day schedule and arrived back in seoul late at night and i felt like i was gonna die, my body couldn’t handle partying like that for three days straight anymore

Namjoon about Like Animals💜 🐨: Like Animals.. 🐨: This was another song that originally came out of the pre-sessions, and it was actually a really sexual song at first. The lyrics were kind of like… you know? ‘If you wanna be animals, baby we can be animals…’ 🐨: And then what was the next line again? Something like ‘living in pain is beautiful’ maybe? It had this whole sadism-masochism kind of vibe — basically a song about becoming wild like animals together. 🐨: But we felt that releasing something overtly sexual wasn’t really the right timing for us right now, so we changed it into a song more about drawing out instinct and raw emotion instead. 🐨: Though honestly, I do think going fully sexual with it could’ve worked too. The sound itself already has this naturally sexy atmosphere to it. I personally really love ‘Like Animals.’ 🐨: I really like psychedelic music, and this was a style we’d never tried before. Artemas helped a lot with that kind of sound too. We felt like we needed sounds like this to move forward and evolve. We can’t just keep doing the same things we’ve always done. That’s probably what we were thinking. 🐨: But at the same time, performing ‘Attack on Bangtan’ again today also felt really good. Like… wow, this is genuinely exciting. There’s really something romantic about our team. I think that’s what I felt.

The lyrics were kind of like… you know? ‘If you wanna be animals, baby we can be animals…’ 🐨: And then what was the next line again? Something like ‘living in pain is beautiful’ maybe? It had this whole sadism-masochism kind of vibe — basically a song about becoming wild like animals together. 🐨: But we felt that releasing something overtly sexual wasn’t really the right timing for us right now, so we changed it into a song more about drawing out instinct and raw emotion instead. 🐨: Though honestly, I do think going fully sexual with it could’ve worked too. The sound itself already has this naturally sexy atmosphere to it. I personally really love ‘Like Animals.’ 🐨: I really like psychedelic music, and this was a style we’d never tried before. Artemas helped a lot with that kind of sound too. We felt like we needed sounds like this to move forward and evolve. We can’t just keep doing the same things we’ve always done. That’s probably what we were thinking. 🐨: But at the same time, performing ‘Attack on Bangtan’ again today also felt really good. Like… wow, this is genuinely exciting. There’s really something romantic about our team. I think that’s what I felt.

🐨: When we all got together, we were like, so what is something that’s really us? We thought about that a lot, and we wanted to show where we started, I think. 🐨: All seven of us are also, all Korean, too, and we thought it would be good if something symbolizing Korea could be included together, and while thinking that, we ended up, uh, bringing up the keyword, uh, “Arirang.” 🐨: “Arirang,” of course, is kind of… honestly, everyone interprets it differently, since the lyrics are abstract. I think it’s a story about this lingering feeling, longing, and love. That’s what I think. 🐨: I think that’s something I actually thought about a lot while I was in the military. You end up thinking a lot about the past, You miss everything. Something. 🐨: I miss civilian life, I miss ARMY, and I really miss the BTS members, and I miss the past. So, also now, since “Arirang” contains all the joys, angers, sorrows, and pleasures of life together, that kind of emotion felt like it could, in this album of ours. 🐨: As we’re putting out an album for the first time in a while, well, encompass our—what we’ve been through so far, the joys, angers, sorrows, and pleasures, and really tie together the music like that. 🐿️: But the thing that’s truly the most like us, that feels like our roots, and that we could show clearly in that way, I think that was “Arirang.” 🐰: Something that can tie it together— some kind of— 🐿️: Uh, I listened and I was like, oh, kind of like that. 🐨: We sang “Arirang” ten years ago, and at KCON Paris. 🐰: I saw that stage, on the channel. 🐿️: Wait a second, do you remember this? 🌻 did we argue/fight? no, we didn't argue. in fact, after our trip, we had a really deep conversation. when he enlisted, we didn't go on trips, or talked for so long. so honestly, i felt awkward at first but then hyung still was the same person, and i felt happy that our relationship was still like how it had been (before his enlistment). but it was through drinks at midnight that i felt- "wow hyung really became more like an adult. what i mean is, ofc he still acted like a high-school student, or a student among us, but when he shared his thoughts, he felt like a reliable adult to me. the more he listened to our worries and talked to us, the more i thought so, so i was grateful to him.
