A painful interview for Labour MP Stephen Kinnock. When told that a Telford grooming gang victim wants a national inquiry and asked "Is she jumping on the far right bandwagon, yes or no?" He refused to answer several times. This is what people hate about politicians. #Newsnight

Painful. The thought that as a society, the safety of our children is being entrusted to spineless omniclowns like this is terrifying.

Are they all taught how to avoid questions they are uncomfortable with? - they all do the deflection dance of words. It’s a credit to her that she kept on demanding a straight answer.

The Jay inquiry failed and didn’t go nearly far enough. He knows it and the Labour gov knows it & their deflection back on The Tories (not ignoring their failings) is knowingly disingenuous and frankly insulting. They wanted a public inquiry into Johnson’s wallpaper but not now.

Shameful. Absolutely shameful. Does he think people are too stupid to see his blatant deflection from the question? I think Labour are all walking over hot coals at the moment with no real off ramp that won’t implicate some of their members.

I hate these politicians so much. Absolute cretins that haven't got the interests of this country at heart.

That's Starmer's 'lines to take' - basically we don't need 'another' inquiry, we just need to get on and implement the findings from the one we have. We need one that ties ALL of these 50 towns together.

Press ❤️ if you hate our politicians even more

It's blatantly obvious that Labour MPs get told what they are allowed to say and how to avoid direct answers. The reason we need an independent inquiry is because it's a nationwide problem. The officials and perpetrators in the big picture need to be exposed.

These are the same left-wing numbuts who wouldn't emphatically define what a woman was when asked.

The Jay report did not have the terms of reference to cover the present issues concerning the Pakistani rape gangs. People need to be held accountable and the Jay report did not drill down far enough. It's a Labour smoke screen. We need to ask the question why it is Labour are so scared of implementing a full public enquiry subject to the proper terms of reference and based on SMART principles.
