A pal & colleague called an anonymous NFL exec an “idiot” for stating an opinion on Josh Allen (that I think is correct), and then responded by stating his own opinion, which is belied by the actual historical record.

You’re a good man brother Calling him the most overrated guy in the league is idiotic You can talk turnovers all you want but the only guy who has a better TD/TO ratio since 19 is Patrick and Allen is +94 Not Patrick, not perfect. But he’s a stud.

The details here matter. The guy you called an idiot didn’t say he was “the most overrated guy in the league”, he said he was “one of the more overrated players”, those are very different. Just like it’s very different to have been 2 or 3 plays away from winning a Div. Rd game in 2021, and “2 or 3 plays away from being in multiple Super Bowls”. If you can show me the 2 or 3 plays that we can change that put Josh Allen in one, let alone multiple Super Bowls, I’d love to see them.

Brock Purdy leads the NFL in passer rating: I don’t trust him Josh Allen consistently puts up 35+ total touchdowns a season: well his passer rating isn’t great

Rare Nick Wright take I agree with

Todays Episode - Glaze Mahomes - Hate on and try to create drama about Aaron Rodgers over nothing - Call Josh Allen overrated This is always the fallback when you guys can’t come up with legitimate topics. Sad.

Let’s see the facts over the past 4 years. I guess this former player is wrong also. Also Josh has the best TD / int ratio in post season ever. Check that stat also

Nick your obsession with Josh Allen is getting old. You’re becoming a caricature of yourself man. Just like Skip Bayless became. Don’t do it man. We like you.

Ratings? Click-bait?

And how good is Mahomes realistically without Andy Reid, that front office and year after year the most elite skill position players in the league. Individually as a QB talent Allen is underrated if anything the same way Rodgers always was compared to Brady.

You use ONE…. metric of evaluation ALL the time for Allen. Use the entire player to evaluate the entire player….. not 75% of him. Josh Allen is a dynamic passer but you always leave off roughly 25% of his game which is running because you don’t respect QBs that run….
