A patient cured is a patient lost

People need to talk more about this cause I think it’s pretty common.

Went through that with my kids. So many MD practices have quotas for their docs. Surgery, dental work, unnecessary procedures…we ruined our once great system by allowing large corporations to buy up all the private practices. IMHO

I haven't gone to a dentist in 20 years.... I don't really trust these 'check-ups' ... I'll go to Doctors / Dentists when I feel something is off. 🤷‍♂️

As you let them drill a tooth it’s a root canal/implant in 5-15 years. Great business model.

People forget to get a 2nd opinion with dentists. My old dentist wanted to give everyone crowns. I needed another crown he said. I went somewhere else and they said, a crown for what? No you don’t.

I had a “cavity”. Made an appointment to get it filled. Had to cancel because I was sick with a fever. Forgot to re-schedule. Next check-up everyone had forgotten I had a cavity, except me. I didn’t mention it. I stopped going to the dentist because it feels like a huge scam.

I’ve been telling everyone that dental diagnoses are wildly subjective.

Same thing happened to me. The bad dentist was out to make $$

This happened to me as well. I went to a new dr. In a large city for and they told me I had 4. I requested my X-rays and went back to a non profit clinic (that did the bare minimum) and they said no cavities.
