I think this might be the best display I’ve ever seen of an Osprey air-surfing on the back of a fish. It’s nesting season, and when a male lands a big one, he doesn’t just bring it home quietly. Oh no! He makes an entrance. He climbs high into the sky, fish clutched tightly in his razor sharp talons and the performance begins. He drops low, arcs upward, pauses mid-air, and lets out a cry that echoes across the water. “Look at this catch! Look what I brought home!” It’s pride. It’s pageantry. It’s love, duty, and a bit of bragging… all rolled into one. His mate watches from the nest, calm but clearly impressed. The other males? They try not to look. But they see. They always see. “Here comes Bob again,” they grumble. “Always with the biggest fish.” The females nearby? Every single one of them eyes Bob and his impressive aerial display. How can they not? He’s the perfect Osprey package. This clip captures the final moments of his aerial display and you can tell: this bird isn’t just feeding his family. He’s making sure everyone knows exactly who brought dinner.

Osprey Wrestling a Pompano (or Is It a Permit?) I love watching ospreys hunt in the mighty Atlantic. You never really know what they’ll wrangle from the surf, sometimes it’s a tiny finger mullet, other times a baby shark. But today? This bird pulled up a thick, silvery slab of muscle. Pompano… or maybe a Permit? I can never tell the difference. But I’m certain of 2 things: that fish isn’t giving up easy, and this osprey’s got a feast for an entire family. Glad I’m not a fish!

We spoke with Chris Van Vliet about why he started a clips channel, and he recalls a Karrion Kross impersonating Jesse Ventura clip going viral. "On both ends, there’s definitely been that. Some that I’m like, ‘Oh, that one didn’t perform and that one out of nowhere did.’ The reason I started the clips channel is because I understand that if I were to text you a link and go, ‘Man, this podcast is amazing. You got to check it out,’ and you click on it, and it’s an hour and 14 minutes. You’re probably not even going to start. But if I send you a clip from that same interview and it’s 36 seconds, or I send you a clip that’s two minutes, good chance you’re probably going to tune in. The one that I just was reminded of was a 10 second, 15 second clip with Karrion Kross. It was the workout that we filmed, we were doing arm day, and everybody knows where I’m going with this. He pulled out the most perfect Jesse Ventura impression. It was four seconds in like a 30 minute workout video. ‘Don’t tell me you don’t have four more reps.’ But that clip blew me away. Like 1.2 million views on my channel. However many millions of views from everybody that’s shared that across all platforms. The one that I just was reminded of was a 10 second, 15 second clip with Karrion Kross. It was the workout that we filmed, we were doing arm day, and everybody knows where I’m going with this. He pulled out the most perfect Jesse Ventura impression. It was four seconds in like a 30 minute workout video. ‘Don’t tell me you don’t have four more reps.’ But that clip blew me away. Like 1.2 million views on my channel. However many millions of views from everybody that’s shared that across all platforms. This man said this is what grinds his gears. His neighbors mow their yard but they always leave their grass clippings out in the street. 😳 He said they should be sweeping them up or blowing them back into their yard and if they don’t have a blower then use the lawnmower itself. I use a bag so I don’t ever have to worry about the clippings going everywhere. But not sure it would bother me that much if I saw my neighbor’s clippings. Luckily, I don’t have neighbors like this. The Biggest Mistake of College Pitchers The biggest mistake I see is guys doing random stuff and putting in the work, thinking that’s enough. They’ll say, yeah man, I’m putting in the work, I lift five times a week, I throw five times a week, I do mobility every day. Then I ask them, what’s the goal in the weight room? They say, just lift heavy. I ask, what’s the goal with your throwing program? What’s going on with your mechanics? What are you attacking? They’ll say they kind of just long toss every day and that’s it. So do you really feel like that’s the most efficient path to get where you want to go? If there’s no intention behind what you’re doing, then you’re just doing something to do something. This is most common with college guys in programs where the lifting plan isn’t great and the coaches don’t really help them. They get stronger, but they never throw harder. It’s because they’re not working on what they actually need to work on. If you’re already super strong in college, then let’s focus on force production, power, and your mechanics.
