If I’d posted sexually violent threats about a woman online and only received an official warning from my regulatory body, I would be *begging* colleagues to not draw attention to it, and certainly not support them in making a petition to have the warning removed 😭💀 How embarrassing.

I already had most of the signers on that petition blocked. It’s really poor discernment, which is frightening given that they’re largely mental health professionals. It will only help more people learn what he did.

I am not aware of any mechanism by which the GMC can quash MPTS decisions arising from public petitions. Doctors can appeal MPTS decisions, for example: Do people signing the petition know what he did?

The post did not say you 'should be...' the post was (which is still very wrong!) 'F*ck you with a....' It was a vile insult, an unwarranted inflation of 'f*ck you'. No one is disputing it's awful, but to present it as if he's posting a threat is just a very obvious lie.

Wound Theory reminds us that when people defend harmful behavior under the guise of “free speech” or “misunderstanding,” it’s often a projection of their own unresolved discomfort with accountability. Minimization isn’t neutrality, it’s complicity.

I’ve always been skeptical about Huda. He’s the lord of misogyny. I’m not surprised about the petition either, it was most likely started by psychiatrists who’ve harassed women themselves. And other like minded ones will blindly sign it too!
