Yesterday someone suggested I create a fight between Alucard and Drolta Tzuentes using Kling AI 2.6. I usually work with Text to Video, but in this case I had to use Image to Video. The base image is a fusion of two images created in Niji and combined with GPT Image 1.5. Then I added the right prompt to give the fight speed and dynamism. The result isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty cool.

We are entering an extremely exciting era for open-weight models. Kimi K2.6 now feels like a top agentic model. I took it for a spin via Fireworks AI fast inference APIs. Kimi K2.6 has impressive agentic capabilities, design skills, and the ability to synthesize large amounts of information. I built a little Skill that produces survey papers on any AI research topic you want. (see example in the clip) You can use the skill to tell your agent to generate a survey on whatever topic and watch it go to work. The artifact was fully generated by Kimi.ai's Kimi K2.6. It's cheap and fast. Next step for me is to explore ways to continue integrating the capabilities of these models on use cases like automating my LLM knowledge bases and augmenting my agent memory capabilities. Stay tuned for more.

I had an early access to GPT-6 Astra and I can say, everyone in the world now has a 3D designer at their fingertips. I gave it an image of a house and asked to create it in 3D with all the details including toys, appliances and furniture. This a full 3D model reconstruction in Blender with geometry that you can manually tweak and run 60fps as a locally rendered "game" on device.

Astra (GPT-6) is here!!! I've had early access and tested it like crazy with things like games, code, writing, browser control, presentations and general knowledge work. This is the best model I've ever used. Period. (Incredible demos below in this thread ⬇️) Here's my take on Astra: > It's insanely capable. This feels like a massive improvement, not just an incremental change. This is especially true with zero-shot prompts. > It's all about knowledge work. Slide creation, analysis, writing, and browser control. And oh my...it's so good at browser control. GPT-5.6 was already fantastic at doing things in the browser, Astra is another level and significantly faster. > We're closer than ever (arrived?) at prompt-to-playable game. And I don't just mean only playable, these are actually fun games. I bet if someone with a great eye for games used Astra, they could create a viral game within 1-2 weeks. > Astra is better at writing but not perfect. It removes much of the "AI Smell" we're all familiar with but some stink still survived. > It has a tendency to use the same design colors and look/feel as GPT-5.6 (forrest green anyone?) but it is more steerable in design than previous models. > It's highly steerable in general. A little nudge goes a long way. When I first started using Astra, almost every task I gave it would go for ~30 minutes. I wanted it to keep working. Adding more specifics to a prompt helped greatly with it's ability to work for a long time. > Astra's 3D understanding is unmatched. 3D asset creation was consistent and easy and its spacial awareness while building complex 3D worlds blew me away. GPT-6 Astra vs Fable 5.1 vs Kimi K3 vs Sol Astra: Took 11 minutes. This is from a follow-up after the first attempt had rendering and UI bugs. The smoke feels a little off. I expected more detail, but it did a good job understanding the intent. Cost: $12.85. Fable 5.1: Took 18 minutes to complete the same test with high detailing. Cost: $12.60. Kimi K3: Took 10 minutes with a similar level of output and cost only $6.95. SOL: Took 7 minutes, but the output seemed messy. Cost: $5.78. Personally, I like Kimi K3 for delivering similar quality with better token efficiency, followed by fable 5.1 for realism. What about you? I’ll do a couple more tests before coming to a conclusion.

It looks like these sketch-style storyboards work really well in Seedance 2.0. I'm going to stick with this approach for a while. In the video prompt, I only include intent, style, reference and visual approach. It follows the storyboard surprisingly well. I'm sharing below the GPT Image 2 prompt I use to create the previs, along with the video prompt I use afterwards. Created on @MartiniArt_
