The bitter truth about this government they will always want to take something from growing businesses

It sounds like a new player wants to enter the business and wants no competition at all. They want to kill off the small emerging interior designers using the law.

TF?? What's wrong with someone selling curtains and sofas at the same time? I can understand an agricultural inputs shops not selling soda because of fear of contamination, but what are these ones on about?

What did we do to deserve this as citizens of Uganda, really? 💔 The government seems more focused on getting everything from its citizens instead of supporting and empowering them. It’s truly hurting. 💔🇺🇬

Trust me this is being pushed by those "big" companies like Nina, Blush etc having realized that these days, people have completely run away from them and now go for the ordinary talented actors who offer same or even better services at affordable costs

Give it time, you will be forced to actually have a portrait of the “Landlord and his son” in your living rooms

I think this gov't simply lacks serious things to do

As an interior designer i smell something fishy....

I recently wanted to buy only five window curtains from Soroti City for my new building in Teso for full window dressing. The quotation was UGX 1.7 million. I immediately believed my assistant wanted to steal from me. They refused to stay on a FaceTime call with me while picking and asking curtain-related questions. I almost called @PoliceUg on my assistant. 🤣🤣🤣 @UNBSug

Big brands interior firms are behind this, they have offices no talent

Naye omuntu alabye because I just initiated into interior design business after giving up on selling computers due to high taxes kati nenno bazze 🤦🏽♂️

With all the problems we have as a country, this was the most pressing issue someone brought up. I would walk out because whose time are you wasting? We can do better!

This is selfishness. Comically nonsensical. Do they want to own the name "interiors" or? If I have a bar do you have to limit me on selling foods?

The issue is you don't make your money quietly. You excited everyone and they look into your affairs. Do we need regulations, yes we do but to regulate what? Inconsistencies! And lastly this is a young sector, maybe a cartel is trying to get hold of it early.

You can't put Nina interiors in thesame bracket with Mirembe beddings.

Someone ones to build monopoly

There is a munene who has entered the chat like they did for the people in fishing now getting a permit is 10m

What if Big Interiors Ltd is trying to push for this so that they knock off competition from Small Interiors Ltd

Furniture is an interior prop, curtaomsa are interior propsa, curtains and all. If I didn't advertise that I do interior design and sell props for interior sett ups why wouldnt I be called "blessed interiors" nugu na kubulwa byakukola. Let people work!

She is out of order, i can be an interior designer for my own house do i need any kinda qualifications to do that. They are fearing competition.

Interestingly government deliberately ignores core or urgent issues and settles (read wastes time, energy and resources) on stupid or trivial matters to remain relevant. Why not a proposal to eliminate all potholes by the end of the year? A proposal to reduce the number of MPs?

I will comment as Mocram Interiors Furniture. Am certain that there are big shots now eyeing this business after youngsters pausing a successful & luxurious life style on social media. This govt has never wished for any successful Ugandan and most especially now

Do they know with Ai we might not need their services😂😂😂😂

They want to limit our choices of interior design as consumers in the name of regulating the interior designers, and that may limit their creativity and innovation. And how will we reach the international standard as a country in that sector...there are more agents issues

Where ever they see money.....They go....Hate that perception of them thinking everything is supposed to be by them.....If its not them then they regulate it to be them.....Oh Lord tired of the selfish kind of race....

Naaye Uganda olemwa

😂😂😂 That's how petty &Low this country's leaders are , Whats wit interior designers??? Next time they discuss Nickers and underwear sellers

It's just the rich wanting to kill competitor and start up small businesses. They want monopolies and control

So these people are pain tens of millions to think for this country n all they come up with is which "kateni" i use in my bedroom?

Honesty from which point of view is this sh***t coming from ... Isn't business like any other ? Maybe they out of tasks to do ..... I'mean can't even describe it

Such a confused government...if they need to collect taxes they should stop frustrating the source of taxes ... getting a job one studied for is tuff ..a simple thought to invest and find means to survival is twice the challenge

"...It becomes a problem?" How?

Sometimes I think that God is punishing us as a nation

Naye banange, is there a stupidity farm in Uganda? Seriously. Of all the BS going on there, they want to regulate interior designers?😂👆
