The OFFICIAL story of the Butler shooting is IMPOSSIBLE to believe the deeper you look into it. That's the disturbing conclusion I came away with after this interview with investigative journalist Ken Silva, who has probably spent more time investigating the assassination attempt on Trump than almost anyone. Every answer seems to create five more questions. We're told Thomas Crooks was a lone wolf, an isolated actor, case closed. Except he was discussing assassinating politicians online years before the shooting, communicating with a figure linked to a monitored extremist organization, building bombs, training extensively at a gun range, and living what appears to have been a completely different life online from the one his family, teachers, classmates, and coworkers knew about. And that's before we get to everything else. The mystery person who repeatedly trained with him, the phone data that still hasn't been fully explained, the FBI contradictions, the mystery ATF presence at the rally, the surveillance footage that STILL hasn't been released, and the rush to cremate his body. Ken says the public is being asked to accept a level of coincidence that would be beyond belief even for a Hollywood script. A future engineer with plans for university somehow transforms into an assassin. A heavily monitored online world somehow misses years of alarming behaviour. Critical evidence remains hidden. And two years later, we're still being told there's nothing more to see. That's why this story refuses to die, because the more details emerge, the less Butler looks like a closed case, and the more it starts to look like a story that powerful people desperately want the public to stop asking questions about.
