Always love to see tutorials with MML involved! Unrelated question I noticed though: your [e<e]4 seems to have an implied > to go back up an octave to the higher E note: does that engine retain the channel state at the beginning of the loop, and is it just the pitch/octave data?

yeah in PMD during compilation the notes will output one byte with the note+octave and another byte with the note length that's how the note length doesn't need to be reset as well, on the second riff
