A quick look at Xbox's new "Game Hubs" feature which could be more meaningful than you think.

Cool concept. Awful impentation. Definitely should never try to implement it as an extra step before getting in your game. Barrier for how cool/useful it is has to be extremely high to get past being an utter annoyance. Thankfully it can be disabled.

I think it'll be useful for devs and may eventually surface info you find handy. How about this? Trigger launches game directly, A launches game hub.

I have higher Gamerscore than Jez 🗿

Honestly, when they move over the icon for the next game, it should bring up the relevant information in a bubble above the games icons instead of opening a new 'games hub'. They should also remove the 4 spam icons at the bottom of the screen to allow for a cleaner flow. Store is duplicated at the top and bottom. It would make more sense this way, clean up the UI, while providing more information about the relevant games.

Jez, you brilliant bastard! Didn't even think about that but it makes sense. It seems like everything these days is wrapped around this Steam integration.

There is a button on the Xbox controller called window/view. Idk know if Xbox knows it exists but that would be a good button to use for this. Extra button presses and more mandatory menus to go through is not a good UX.

Yeah, maybe if they add more things/settings on the hub like manually disabling quick resume, patch notes, metacritic scores, personal screenshots, AI game save recap, or when will it leaves in Game Pass/Free Play Days.

That's a sexy ass voice

So it's Game Card with clutter, still not including the updates from official club, and is there whenever you click on the game, instead of hovering over it? This could easily get annoying fast. + I like Game Cards because it's a quicker way to look at library content details...

This is grim & solely done to add a chance to advertise, solely for the 'Available add-ons' section & probably more advertising further down the line. Just let me play the game. Theres nothing they could have here that would be deemed useful if i am simply jusyt trying to play.
