hey Gretchen -- AR-15 is just a model of rifle. AR stands for Armalite -- the company that first produced it. It doesn't mean Assault Rifle (you might have known this but your video shows a certain disdain so I wasn't sure). I have an AR-15 and it's never shot anyone. And, it won't unless I need to defend my family, property or myself from bad guys who want to do bad things. That includes the possibility of tyranny (which is why the 2nd was added to the Bill of Rights) or any other bad guy. The world is not more dangerous because I own one or that there are 20M of them. In 2022: 1630 people were murdered by knife 665 people were murdered by hands, fists or feet 541 were killed by rifles -- a category that includes the AR-15 I enjoyed having you on the show a few years ago in support of your book. And, I have not negative thoughts of you -- I just know you're really smart and thought perhaps you didn't know the stats. The AR-15 is not the boogie man -- it's just another rifle. The stats I posted are from Statista and can be checked. What they show is we have a murder problem for sure and clearly is the person doing it not the weapon used. I'd happily join forces with you to help cut down on this by first getting those who are mentally incapable of living in a society with others -- the help they need. Best, Pags
