4.5 an over is a healthy scoring rate though. This is why we lost the Ashes so badly. A mentality has developed, through short form cricket, where anything other than smashing it round the park every ball is a bit of a drag. Fatal to Test cricket, hence 2 day Ashes tests, twice.
