a really good reason to go back to turn based with final fantasy is that cutscenes transitioning to action game or something is cool and all, but it doesn't hit like this

Now imagine this with a FFX remake..especially this battle sequence

That "Battle Team Changed" is hype for sure.

You must not have played FFXVI. Because that game personifies "incredible transition from action into cutscene, and then back into action, and then not being able to tell which is which."

The UI elements popping up like that was always really cool to me, especially when it was a party change.

Look, I love my Realtime/Action game final fantasy... BUT GOD DAMNIT BRING BACK THE BATTLE SWOOSH

Hell yeah, XIII is peak.

Like chills.... he puts away his vengeance and decides to protect him. I know we see him mad and whiny for a bit in the story, but dude he's 14 and he needed someone to blame. Now hes trying to be stronger to help snow as much as he protected him

Turn based FF is peak but 13 was the start of them trying to do action rpg. I remembered just spamming the X button rather than strategically picking certain skills

This scene in Lost Odyssey lives rent-free in my head. What a transition!

Y'all just be saying stuff. This is way inferior compared to transitions from 16 and 7 remake games. Those are seamless and feel so connected. I love 13 too but come on.
