NEW: A witness who was at the McDonald's where Luigi Mangione was caught, says he and a friend joked at Mangione that he looked like the New York sh**ter. McDonald’s customer, Larry, said he and a friend were joking so loud that Mangione could hear them. "One of my friends, and I thought he was kidding when the sh**ter... who they made the arrest on came in, he made a comment: 'Well, that looks like the shooter from New York.'" "But the group of us thought it was more of a joke and we were kidding about it. But then as it turned out, it was him." Larry says he didn't think much of it and left the restaurant to go to church. New video of Scottie Scheffler speaking with police. Says he didn’t know Detective Gillis was a police officer and he thought it was a security guard who didn’t know he was instructed to go around traffic. It’s rare that anything good comes from talking to the police in a situation like this. Here, he’s being asked intentionally leading questions and was better off saying nothing. The purpose of the line of questioning here seems like it was to get Scottie to admit he knew it was a police officer, despite Scottie saying 4-5x he did not know that. Regardless, the 2nd Degree Assault charge only requires that Scottie *intentionally* caused injury to another through the use of a dangerous instrument (the car). Does anybody actually believe Scottie purposely intended to run down some security guards at the Valhalla entrance on his way to his tee time? Hopefully they drop the charges today and end this charade.

He says politics didn't play a role during the celebrations and believes that contributed to their success. He would like to see more loyalist bands take part next year and paid tribute to Councillors Councillor Tracy Kelly and Cllr Sarah Bunting, as well as Belfast Bands Forum, for their engagement this year. A total of 1.65 million visits were made to Belfast city centre during the eight days of this year's Fleadh. It returns to Belfast next year.
