Last month, the administration submitted a rescissions package to Congress that would cut around $9 billion in wasteful spending, which amounts to approximately one tenth of 1 percent of federal spending, with a focus on woke and wasteful foreign aid dollars. I look forward to considering that commonsense legislation this week.

These are called “rescissions,” and they’re basically a way to cancel funds that were previously approved but haven’t been spent yet. If we don’t act by July 18, those cuts won’t happen. We’ll also be voting on a few of President Trump's nominations on the floor, because Senate Republicans are working to get things done. And that’s what's moving on Monday.

On CNN, Russ Vought briefly mentioned an important but rarely used statutory process provided to a president, known as a “pocket” rescission. Once you understand what a pocket rescission is, you’ll understand it as the smoothest path towards attaining the vast majority of DOGE cuts. Normally, when a rescission package is submitted to Congress, as one will likely be tomorrow, a president has the statutory authority to withhold those funds for 45 days (measured in days that Congress isn’t in recess. ) We should fully support that rescission package because if all or some of it fails, or Congress doesn’t act on the package within those 45 days, the package fails and we lose the ability to use the rescission process to attain those cuts later. On the other hand, a “pocket” rescission is a rescissions package submitted within 45 days of the end of the fiscal year. If a rescission package is submitted within that window, the statutory authority of a president to withhold those funds take us past September 30th, the end of the fiscal year. At that point, the budget authority to expend fy25 funds lapses. The rescission is therefore automatic. Once you understand this, it’s the the ideal strategy for attaining the DOGE cuts because it gives Congress the ability to affirm the process by voting in support of the rescission, but it also moves forward automatically. It’s a win-win. But it requires that the rescission packages be submitted after roughly August 18th. Demanding more DOGE cuts NOW, and urging movement on them now, jeopardizes the process. We should be asking for all future rescissions packages on DOGE cuts to wait until AFTER roughly August 18th.

I'm all in for more cuts to the bill. It's big, but it's not beautiful yet. The Senate's job is to make the bill better before sending it back to us. The House's job is to pass DOGE rescissions and EO codification bills that are collecting dust. Not to go home.

The 93k level, which is the Y on the .382 on the internal SR continues to hold price. The highest probability is for a period of chop which will likely break to the downside into early 2026, which has been the long term forecast on this market and it would be reasonable to see the contract trade towards the .236 which is around 76k. There is a dominant cycle at work currently which needs to be satisfied and that will likely be in the level where demand far exceeds supply. $BTC could spike towards 97k but that would not repair the damage and it would likely fail and that would not change this forecast. As always, thanks to those who support the feed. I do not understand why this page is shadow banned (it has been for several weeks now).
