We appeal to Seyi Makinde not to demolish our houses or take over our land - Community members Note: Ibadan Circular Road is designed as a strategic by-pass for travellers, freight and goods moving through Ibadan along the heavily trafficked Lagos–Ibadan Expressway (E-1). It links the expressway to the A-1 highway, facilitating smoother access to Oyo, Ogbomosho, Ilorin, and beyond. This ambitious 110km highway loops around the Ibadan metropolis, with critical links to Egbeda, Ona-Ara, Lagelu, Akinyele, Ido, and Oluyole Local Government Areas. The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has assured the people that the project, upon completion, will alleviate the persistent problem of traffic congestion in Ibadan while stimulating economic growth across the state. He is confident that the first phase, the 32km East-End Wing, will be completed before the end of the year. The entire 110km project is divided into four key sections: South–East: 32.2km North–East: 20.8km North–West: 33.0km South–West: 24.0km

In this video, he shared, one of the residents claimed that many tragic accidents have been recorded due to the terrible state of the road and that the community has been without electricity for months. Earlier today, Green Africa Airways made its maiden flight to Ibadan Airport, following the recent upgrades and other infrastructural improvements made in the airport by the Executive Governor of Oyo State, . The airline is expected to commence flight operations between Ibadan to Lagos with just N6,500 (Six Thousand, Five Hundred Naira Only), in other to reduce traffic congestion on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. This development is among several efforts of the Oyo State Government under Governor Makinde, who has been working tirelessly since the inception of his administration to make live comfortable for citizens and residents of the state and Nigerians in general. The Governor has also outlined plans to expand the airport, in addition to the existing construction and expansion of the airport road in his #Omituntun2.0 agenda.
