This lady is telling this mother to stop taking her son (diagnosed with ADHD) to behavior therapy , ignore the doctor’s advice & just “pray it away”. Whew this was a lot lmao 😭😭

@dococt_ But seriously, even therapy as a adult is frowned on in the black community. People will tell you you don’t need that and you do to heal from your childhood trauma.😒😒

@dococt_ She is so right. This is exactly what pushed me away from the black church, and Christianity as a whole. Too many Christians seem to forget God created everything and that includes science. He gave us science so we can figure out things on our own, it's stupid to ignore science.

That's actually NOT what the evangelist said. She told the Mom to speak life into her child, not ignore the Doctors. She actually said "The Doctor's job is to diagnose" Speaking life means believing in the best outcomes and encouraging her child to believe in himself also. People so mad at Church (and there's a lot of b.s. going on there to be mad at) they think that Church and GOD is the same thing. It's not. Get Free.

a lot of the points she speaking on is the worst outcome possible, please don’t listen to her. there are tons of kids (myself included) that turned out fine no therapy no “treatment” for my ADHD. Just teach him right from wrong and if he’s autistic then it’s more so focusing on the lack of comprehending right and wrong. Do not let some stranger tell your kids who he should be acting or take these pills and he’ll feel better. he’s fine, just a little more responsibility than most kids. That’s “god at work” as the christmas call it.
