This is Stephen Hubbard, an American citizen that moved to Ukraine in 2014, and even though "he has never owned a gun and is so non-military" according to his sister, he enlisted in the local Ukrainian territorial defense when Russia invaded in 2022. He was taken prisoner by the Russian terrorists a few weeks later and has been in Russian captivity ever since, yesterday he was sentenced to 7 years in prison for being a "mercenary" in a Russian court. How about getting people like that home President Donald J. Trump instead of Russian "opposition" figures trying to help Russia?

Recounting the circumstances that led to his arrest, Mr. Akollobilla disclosed that after losing his job as a cocoa farm manager, he struggled to support himself and was approached by a man who offered him cannabis joints to sell. However, just a day after receiving the first parcel, he was apprehended and subsequently sentenced. Following the intervention of the Crime Check Foundation, he was granted a presidential pardon in 2018. He later passed away in July 2020.
