Strength of the coaxial design I suppose, tail rotor failure is always a bad deal for conventional helos.

with that damage, and the stuff we dont see its going to be down for a while... with the 4 we know have been lost over the last week there are is no way they can keep up this surg for a long.

The contra-rotating blades allow it to fly without a tail rotor. However, this makes the system very complex to build and maintain. It also makes the helicopter quite noisy.

That seems like an impressive feat? I don’t know about helicopters, but thing that rear rotor is supposed to be very important!
