A Russian soldier is successful using a shotgun to defeat a #drone. Both Ukrainian and Russian forces want shotguns to defend against small FPV drones.

There are drawbacks: - Range is low, so you have little time to hit the drone. - You have to carry extra weight - extra ammunition type

Logical progression. So necessary to have weapons suited for purpose.

A shotgun is also cheap.

Double barrel maybe better. Over under not good, imagine it's kinda like shooting skeet, waterfowl - quick left/right more than up down needed. Check out DP-12 double pump.

What you see is literally a dog fight between two drones. One is a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone and the other is a Russian FPV counter reconnaissance drone. After spotting the Ukrainian drone, the Russian FPV operator rams itself where the propeller is and downs the Ukrainian reco drone. Not just it, the Russian drone could be seen safe and it was asked to RTH.

A Russian soldier encourages a Ukrainian FPV to strike him, and when the drone fails to explode he picks it up to detonate it. Suicides among Russian assault forces appear (anecdotally) higher than ever, with many making no effort to avoid an attacking FPV.

Eliminating an Invader with FPV Drones and Small Arms A Russian soldier approached dangerously close to Ukrainian defenders' positions in the Toretsk sector. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of infantry and drone operators, the occupier was swiftly neutralized. Fighters from the 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov send a clear message to Russian troops: the only way to survive is to lay down your arms and surrender.

This isn’t easy. A Ukrainian soldier calmly uses a PKM machine gun to successfully shoot down a Russian FPV drone.
