A Russian soldier reportedly faced an FPV drone near Dobropillia, Ukraine. Instead of simply running, he moved toward a ditch and used it to limit the drone’s possible attack angle. When the drone came back from the front, the soldier fired at it and reportedly hit the drone. He then continued moving forward instead of stopping. The striking part was his positioning. By using nearby cover, he reduced the directions from which the drone could approach. On a battlefield dominated by FPV drones, awareness and positioning can be as important as the weapon itself. #russia #ukraine #fpvdrone #fpv #Drones #DroneStrike

A Russian FPV drone was reportedly waiting for a target when a Ukrainian drone suddenly dropped a grenade from above. The grenade missed, but the Russian operator realized the attack had come from another drone and immediately launched his FPV to search for it. What followed was an unusual drone-versus-drone engagement. The Russian operator located the smaller Ukrainian quadcopter, aggressively manoeuvred toward it and eventually hit it in mid-air. The footage appears to show the Russian FPV acting as an improvised interceptor. The incident highlights how FPV drones are taking on new roles on the battlefield. They are no longer just weapons designed to strike ground targets — operators can also use them to hunt other drones. As counter-drone tactics evolve, aerial dogfights between small UAVs could become an increasingly common part of modern warfare. #russia #ukraine #fpvdrone ##fpv #Drones #DroneStrike

A Ukrainian drone appears to drop an explosive through a small opening in a building where Russian soldiers were reportedly taking cover. The drone carefully positions itself above the opening before releasing the payload, followed by a large explosion inside the structure. The footage highlights one of the biggest advantages of battlefield drones: they can approach targets from above and exploit openings that may be difficult to reach with conventional weapons. FPV and bomb-dropping drones are now widely used across the Russia-Ukraine battlefield. However, the footage cannot independently confirm how many Russian soldiers were inside the building or whether there were any casualties. What it does show is how drones are changing battlefield protection — even a building that provides cover from the ground may remain vulnerable from above. #ukraine #drone #russia #dronestrike #fpvdrone

A Russian FPV drone operator reportedly detected an approaching armored vehicle by sound rather than sight. The drone was concealed in bushes while its microphone picked up the vehicle moving along the nearby road. Once the sound revealed the target’s approach, the operator launched the drone, located the vehicle and carried out the strike. This allowed the drone to remain concealed instead of constantly exposing itself while searching through its camera. The footage highlights an interesting evolution in drone warfare: sometimes detecting a target before seeing it can provide the element of surprise. #Russia #ukraine #drone #FPVDrone #DroneStrike

A Russian FPV drone operator reportedly aborted an attack in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region after identifying civilians inside a vehicle near the target area. The operator was monitoring the area when the vehicle appeared on the drone’s camera. Thanks to the drone’s continuous video feed, he was able to observe the vehicle and determine that it was carrying civilians. He then moved the drone away and allowed the vehicle to pass safely. The incident highlights why real-time surveillance and target identification are critical in modern drone warfare. In an active combat zone, civilian vehicles can suddenly enter an area where military operations are taking place. In this case, the operator had enough visual information to recognize the vehicle — and chose to abort the strike rather than risk civilian casualties. #russia #fpvdrone #fpv #ukraine #drones #DroneStrike

Footage appears to show a Ukrainian soldier preparing a fragmentation munition designed to be carried by an FPV drone. Instead of relying only on the explosive charge, the design uses fragmentation material intended to spread around the point of detonation. The footage highlights how Ukraine is adapting relatively simple manufacturing methods to battlefield requirements. FPV drones are already low-cost and highly flexible platforms, and their payloads can be modified for different battlefield roles. This is another example of how drone warfare is evolving. The competition is no longer just about building better drones — it is also about developing cheaper, more adaptable and more effective payloads for them. #russia #ukraine #fpvdrone #fpv #drones #DroneStrike

A Russian drone operator reportedly intercepted a Ukrainian aerostat flying at around 10 kilometres altitude. Reports say the balloon was carrying an FPV drone along with a Starlink terminal, potentially allowing the drone to be transported far beyond its normal flight range. The concept is simple: the balloon acts as a carrier, travelling with the wind before releasing the drone closer to its target. In theory, this could allow a small FPV drone to reach areas that would otherwise be too far away to attack on its own. The particular aerostat was reportedly intercepted before the drone could be released. But the concept shows how the drone war is evolving beyond conventional aircraft — with balloons potentially being used as low-cost high-altitude carriers for attack drones. If reliable, the combination could create a new challenge for air-defence systems. #RussiaUkraine #fpvdrone #Starlink #Drones #DroneStrike

A single FPV drone. Five Merkava tanks. One fuel truck. New battlefield footage reportedly shows how modern drone warfare is changing everything. Instead of directly attacking the heavily armored Merkava tanks, the drone operator targeted the fuel truck nearby — turning logistics into the weakest link on the battlefield. Even with cope cages designed to stop top-attack drones, modern FPV operators can still exploit weak angles and vulnerable targets. This is the new reality of war: Cheap drones can threaten multi-million dollar armored vehicles. #iran #IranWar #drone #fpv #Israel

A Russian Lancet kamikaze drone was reportedly caught in anti-drone netting stretched above a highway before reaching its target. Footage shows the drone stuck in the net, with its propulsion motor apparently still spinning. The drone reportedly featured camouflage coating designed to make detection and interception more difficult. However, in this incident, reports suggest the operator failed to notice the physical barrier and continued guiding the drone toward its target. The incident highlights how simple physical obstacles can play a role in counter-drone warfare. Even a long-range loitering munition designed to strike targets deep behind enemy lines can be stopped by something as basic as a net. #russia #drone #ukraine #RussiaUkraine #drones #DroneStrike

Completely dystopian. Robots killing humans. The SIGNUM battalion, one of Ukraine’s FPV drone units, carried out the world’s first FPV drone strike in June 2022, ushering in a new era in assassination. They just released a video showing 59 Russian soldiers eliminated by their FPV drones in the Lyman area over the past weeks. Ukraine’s massive use of FPV drones has reportedly slowed the advance of the Russian Army to nearly a standstill. The cost in eliminated soldiers for every kilometer taken is reportedly so high that Putin is on the verge of announcing a forced mobilization. FPV drones are now being used on battlefields from Colombia to Sudan, Iraq and Myanmar. It all started with the SIGNUM battalion just 4 years ago.

A group of Ukrainian soldiers spotted an unidentified drone and immediately stopped their vehicle. They tried to shoot it down, but from the footage it appears there was confusion and hesitation - they couldn’t clearly tell whether the drone was friendly or Russian. That moment of uncertainty gave the drone enough time to slip away. Unfortunately, it turned out to be Russian. The drone quickly circled back and attacked again. The soldiers were unable to bring it down, and the drone struck one of the fighters directly in the legs. 1:05 Fortunately, the soldier survived the strike....... but lost his leg. . .

Russia’s footage shows drone allegedly used in attack on Putin’s residence | Vaughn Cockayne, The Washington Times Russia released a video Wednesday showcasing a downed drone that authorities said was used in an attack on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin over the weekend. Ukraine has denied accusations that it targeted Mr. Putin’s Novogrod residence on Sunday, asserting that the Kremlin fabricated the incident to sabotage the U.S.-brokered peace negotiations. The video, released by the Russian Ministry of Defense, shows a destroyed drone lying in the snow. An unnamed soldier in the video explains that the drone’s warhead, which contains a large amount of explosive material, didn’t detonate. The exact location or origin of the drone wasn’t independently verified. Ukraine, which criticized Russia for providing zero proof for the alleged attack, has not commented on the video. Alexander Romanenkov, chief of Russia’s Air Defense Missile Forces, released a map showing the flight path of 91 drones used in the alleged attack. He said the scale and direction of the attack clearly indicated it was a deliberate strike aimed at Mr. Putin’s residence. “The structure of the attack, the number of air attack assets deployed, and their actions from the southern, southwestern, and western directions directly toward the area of the Russian President’s residence in the Novgorod region, clearly confirm that the terrorist attack by the Kiev regime was targeted, carefully planned, and echeloned,” Mr. Romanenkov wrote Wednesday on Telegram. The video and map are the first collection of proof of the alleged attack, which may have hurt the peace process among Russia, Ukraine and the U.S. Russia’s allegations come after President Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Florida on Sunday. Both sides agreed that a peace deal was within reach. During a phone call after the meeting on Monday, Mr. Putin reportedly told Mr. Trump of the alleged attack and said Russia would have to reevaluate its position regarding peace. The Kremlin said Mr. Trump was “shocked” at learning about the alleged drone encounter.

An epic combat operation by CODE 9.2. A tank and a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, both equipped with specially designed anti-drone protection, advanced to the front line and fired directly at Russian forward positions. Reconnaissance and attack drones provided cover for the armored vehicles. A CODE 9.2 FPV drone intercepted and destroyed a Russian FPV drone approaching the tank to strike it. Vampire drones also covered the armored vehicles from the air. All goals set by the commander of the 475th Separate Assault Regiment, Hero of Ukraine Oleksandr Nastenko, callsign "Flint," were achieved.

⚡️🇺🇦🇷🇺There is now confirmation of the first attempts to blind Russian FPV drones by installing small IR spotlights on Ukrainian drones, producing a bright, directional beam aimed at the incoming drone’s camera. In one case, a Ukrainian UGV tried to blind an approaching Russian FPV drone but failed. The second example was more successful a “Baba Yaga” drone was able to confuse the operator of an anti-drone interceptor that was attempting to shoot it down. For now, this cannot be called widespread, but in the future such a blinding system may become an effective method of countering FPV drones, especially fiber-optic-guided ones, which cannot be jammed by electronic warfare at all. And, as can be seen, the system can be installed on both ground and aerial platforms. So it turns out the outdated Passive Protection Systems (PPS) like the Shtora-1 so common in the late Soviet/Russian/Ukranian like the T-90A are state of the art now.
