A "Secular (Uniform) Civil Code" will work ONLY if it is strictly enforced by all authorities, all branches of the government, equally on all citizens. Will this happen in Bharat? Highly doubtful. Greater chance that only the Hindus will follow it, further weakening their own traditions, while everyone else will ignore it and strengthen their own traditions. Think this will not happen? Check Europe, Canada and other Western countries which already have a Secular (Uniform) Civil Code. Islamist mobs and other (illegal) immigrants ignore the laws with impunity, while the authorities don't enforce it, and the judiciary lets them get away with it, sometimes (or often) citing cultural differences as an excuse. They are even allowed to harass / rape women, children and get away with it citing cultural differences.
