The victim, Chase Beltramo, 35, was unarmed and alleged to have attempted theft of approximately $90 worth of merchandise, according to police. Video footage released by KOB 4 shows the security guard tackle the suspect, point a gun at his face, and fire two shots. Police determined the guard was within his right to detain Beltramo but found the use of deadly force was not justified.
