A senior Canadian government source has confirmed that PM Trudeau is taking a hard line and told Trump today Canada won't drop retaliation in exchange for a partial rollback of tariffs. It's all or nothing. We either go back to our negotiated free trade agreement or we don't.

@AbGamble1 Perfect response. I would have followed it with “Thank you for asking. Go fuck yourself, orange shitstain!”

Elbows up. The worst thing we could possibly do is give in to a bully...

That is how you deal with bullies. Good for PMJT. I guess the teacher in him is coming out.

Here’s what could get more expensive with Trump’s new tariffs.

I am so proud of our PM to stand strong against this bully!

Good, enough is enough of Trumps made up excuses. We shouldn’t have to go through this every time Trump thinks he can bully us.

@CailinasEirinn Former Mexican Minister of Economy said it correctly „the problem is that Trump didn’t determine parameters to measure success at the borders. W/o parameters you can’t say Can/Mexico have been successful, so Trump doesn’t have to give in ever.“

Totally Agree. It's all or nothing.

It would be a mistake to go back to the free trade agreement. America can't be trusted.

Canada did perfectly well before free trade, I am fine with the ending of free trade. We just have to return the old rules where if you want access to the market, you make a percentage of your products in Canada.

👍🏻💙🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦💙👍🏻 Thank you Prime Minister Trudeau. I admire your strength and conviction. Bullies are always defeated. They are cowards. God Bless You.
