We're closely monitoring some thunderstorms making their way across Texoma, North Texas, the Brazos Valley, and Southeast Texas at 2:50AM this morning. While these storms are mostly behaving, they are bringing frequent lightning, small hail, and heavy rain. The activity is moving quickly northeast. We expect to see an increase in thunderstorm activity in Southeast Texas over the next few hours. In the far eastern Panhandle, we have thundersnow and thundersleet heading into Oklahoma, leaving behind some freezing drizzle across the Texas Panhandle and West Texas—so be mindful of slick bridges and overpasses. At least 17 tornadoes were reported from Oklahoma to Iowa on Thursday, including a large and destructive tornado that tore through parts of Enid, OK, injuring at least 10 people and damaging 49 homes. Today is day 2 of a multi-day severe weather event in the Great Plains and Midwest with the threat for tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail this weekend into early next week. ABC News' Ginger Zee has more.
