Hey, amazing art for all the creatures! Could you explain or provide a reference for the technique you are using for drawing with outlines?

Sure! I'm using a photoshop layer style for the automatic outlines. The program has all kinds of layer effects, drop shadow, inner shadow, overlays, etc. + you can pretty much customize them to whatever you want.

That is awesome! Any other particular feature exclusive to Photoshop that you use in your pixel-art workflow?

I guess the biggest highlight for me is the ability to write custom addons. I wrote a simple toolbar with buttons for features I use a lot (some features cant be used with hotkeys). Another thing, which isn't exclusive to PS is brushes. I really like how they implemented it, although its not perfect. I have to say its a love hate relationship I have with the software (and company), but I grew up with it, so I'm trapped so to speak. PS is so feature rich, when I switch to something else it feels lacking in comparison :p

Thanks! It's funny you say that. I feel that when I'm recording these timelapses I'm more inclined to roll with my 'mistakes' and fix it in the polish up phase. Rather than undoing something and trying again! :p
