It was the horrifying moment when his house lifted off the ground, with him still inside, before he was hurled into nearby bushes. Our conversation was an important reminder that this support is helping families recover from Hurricane Melissa and rebuild with hope.

They cleared storm debris from the lot of a veteran so we could place an RV that he could live in with his elderly mother and child with special needs after their home was destroyed. A Farmer from Minnesota, a truck driver from West Virginia, a veteran/small business owner from NC and a firefighter from NY. All volunteers. All good people. Focus on them instead.
