Statement and video from Omaha Police Dept: “Omaha Police responded to 67th & Pacific St. for an accident shortly after 3:30 p.m.The roadway collapsed, and two vehicles fell into a sinkhole just east of the intersection. No injuries were reported. The driver of the truck was able to get himself out of the sinkhole. Bystanders and the truck driver helped the SUV driver out of the sinkhole. Both vehicles have since been towed. The video shows not only the road collapsing, but also bystanders rushing to aid the drivers involved. We are grateful to them for jumping into action and quickly providing help.”
