A skeptical older man tries a balance test… then they put this small patch on his wrist and his stability completely changes. He starts off pretty doubtful (you can see it on his face), but after the patch goes on, he’s noticeably steadier when they re-test him. He even...

This man’s dog passed away a few months ago. They used to tie him up to this tree out in the front yard as he loved being outside. They even buried his leash at the base of the tree. As he was walking by the tree they used to tie him up to, they noticed a formation at the bottom of the tree on the trunk and it looks so similar to a photo they have of him. He said he’s aware of pareidolia, where people see patterns or formations in certain things. But he doesn’t believe it is that. I see it. Think it is so cool and beautiful. ❤️ Do you see it? What do you think it is? Ever heard of pareidolia? Think he is seeing what he wants to see? Or, do you think it is definitely a sign of his beloved dog?

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins: “You were talking about how busy you were this morning. James Comey was in court. He self surrendered. He’s now been charged a second time, this time over a social media post with seashells that said 8647. Do you really think that he was endangering your life or threatening your life with that post?” President Trump: “Well, if anybody knows anything about crime, they know — 86. You know what that’s a mob term for? Kill him, you know. Do you ever see the movies? 86 him. The mobster says to one of his wonderful associates, 86 him. That means kill him. It’s I think of it as a mob term. I don’t know if people think of it as something having to do with disappearing, but the mob uses that term to say, when they want to kill somebody, they say, 86 the son of a gun. I’m trying to keep the language nice and clear. They don’t use that term son of a gun. They use another term, but that’s a mob term for killing. Yeah.” Collins: “But do you really think your life was in danger? Because —” Trump: “Probably, I don’t know, you know, based on — based on what I’m seeing out there. Yeah.” Collins: “— the seashells?” Trump: “The — the people like Comey have created tremendous danger, I think, for politicians and others. You know, Comey is a dirty cop. He’s a very dirty cop. He cheated on the elections. He tried to help Hillary Clinton. As you know, he dismissed a lot of things that he should have proceeded with. I wasn’t involved, but he should have proceeded with, no, he’s a dirty cop. He’s a crooked man.”

This is SO cool !! I just used up for voting amendment XLS-96 Confidential Transfer / privacy on the XRP Ledger dev net enabled by homomorphism and ZK proofs. What's going on here and how do nodes know payments are correct while not able to see the amounts ? 1) I issued a confidential MPT on the XRP Ledger dev net. I shielded my balance. Privacy for the amounts of my XRPL issued asset balance and transfers (the addresses stay public). No one can see the amounts, it's all shielded, except the issuer and the auditor who can always decrypt them (or you, like in the video on my esp32). 2) The XRP Ledger uses 2 boxes 📦 for this all under the hood, an Inbox-box and a Spending-box. I don't go into detail why thats needed but it's important we have it. 3) How do Validators and nodes know the transfers are correct if they can't see the amounts? Now the true magic is enabled by homomorphism. It allows to do operations arithmetic on encrypted data as if it were plaintext, without the need to decrypt it. Like adding and subtracting amounts to your balance. ZK proofs fill the gap that nodes need. We need a comparison of the balance that after you have done your payment you have >= 0 balance. If you would have negative balance it means you trying to spend more than you have something we need to prevent. For this a ZK proof is used to quickly allow people to check, ahh all good, no idea how much Vet owns but whatever he is spending here it's definitely within his balance and it's not below 0. Those 2 techniques soon on a public decentralized blockchain XRP Ledger. Should give you goose bumps what this means for possible use cases.

This man has rented his home out to the same couple for the last 10 years, they’ve always been good, and have never had any real issues. However recently due to inflation and high costs of repairs. He has finally raised the rent to make up for lost money. He seems to think they trashed the home, but when you think about it, the carpet would have had to be replaced by now anyways. The other things he seems to complain about by highlighting are mostly wear and tear. If you think about it, 10 years is a long time and if this is the wordy of it then he’s still pulling out ahead. Do you feel he’s being unreasonable or should he have updated and maintained the home better?

This guy is driving by and stops to look at the robot lawnmower mowing this huge property. He is blown away and thinks this is really cool. Says he has never seen anything like it. Back and forth, slowly it goes. A man can mow faster, but, what is your time and wear and tear on your body worth? Some say they will never give up their mowing time, their two hours of quiet time. But, others have said that this type of mower can help with rental properties. They drop it off, it mows while they are gone, it has a camera, and an app for it. It saves them gas and the trip out to the property every two weeks. One person said it was the best investment he ever made. He didn’t have to mow one time last year and it mows the straightest lines and charges itself. You will still have to edge and maybe get some tight spots around trees and stuff and they can be pricey. So, would you ever invest in one of these? Would the extra time on your hands allow you to do something else, go work out? Tackle other projects? Would you want that kind of help? Or, is this part of the downfall of man and just something else to make us more lazy?

A Palestinian pretending to be Israeli on a livestream with a Jordanian asked him: “Where are you from?” The Jordanian replied: “From middle of Palestine.” He then asked him: “Where is this Palestine?!” The Jordanian replied: “You know very well Palestine. It is the same Palestine you are afraid of right now. No matter how many weapons you have, you are afraid of it. Even when they have nothing but stones, you are still afraid of Palestine.” He then asked him: “Tell me, where are you really from?” The Jordanian replied: “From the Palestine that made you afraid of. From the Palestine where you, with all your weapons, you are still terrified of a Palestinian with a stone. From the Palestine where, when you want to storm a single home, you have to mobilize 10 vehicles, 6 armored vehicles, and 7 APCs… From the Palestine where one tiny free patch of land has terrified you. For 3 years, with all your weapons and aircraft, you have been fighting this tiny patch of land, and it has filled you with fear.”

Joe Rogan just took time out of his podcast to express genuine concern for his friend Theo Von. He admitted that some of Von’s recent behavior after getting on SSRIs “freaks me out” — especially his comments about suicide. ROGAN: “Theo Von’s going through the exact same thing and last time he was on the podcast he was explaining it to me.” “It freaks me out because I know Theo has had conversations before...like even publicly.” “He had a Netflix taping and it didn’t go well. It was like they actually never...they shelved it. They never used it.” “And you know there was all these stories from people that were there saying he bombed. I think he just had a kind of a breakdown.” “And when he was talking to the crowd and there’s a video of it, he said, you know, the people were saying, hey, we still love you.” “He goes, thank you. Look, I’m just I’m trying not to take my own life.” “And like you hear stuff like that and you just go like, oh, Jesus Christ.” “I’ve known too many people that I didn’t think were going to kill themselves and then did.” “And then he goes down these spirals where he starts talking about world events and freaking out. I’m like, oh, Jesus Christ! Like, I got to help this dude.”

American says she has an outstanding balance at her healthcare clinic. She had an appointment today and they tried to make her pay part of the balance It was for an MRI from 2 years ago and she owes $2,000. She says she’s not ever paying that bill. She’s already gotten the results, so she’s just not ever going to pay it She’s outraged because the office tried to make her pay part of it before her current appointment, even just $10. She refused After getting a little loud the office allowed her to have her appointment without paying If you ever find yourself in this situation, here’s how the law works The office can ask and even nag for the payment. A private practice can also refuse a non-emergency appointment if you have an unpaid balance However, they cannot do is force a payment as a condition of walking into a visit that is already scheduled Emergency care has to basically always accept you

A Scouse Muslim who’s been here all of his life has been in touch with me. He feels the page is bias against Muslims and I have overlooked the good charity work he and his group do. After I explained the concept of the page to him that anyone can post what they want on this page. They come to me, I don’t go to them. It is open to anyone for anything. Now he gets it, and he has sent this in. Total respect to these people. This is the kind of thing I would much rather be promoting from the Muslim community but unfortunately this type of content isn’t sent in often enough. If you want to change the narrative. Only you the reader of this can do that. Insulting people in the comment section changes nothing. Send it in like he did. Give them a follow on Instagram and get involved. Tracy McGrady says he stands with Jaylen Brown comments about the refs: “I felt like he’s been targeted this year. So he has a right, you know, to feel that way. If you watch some of the games and some of the calls that’s been called on him versus what we see from other guys. So I stand with him on that. Do I agree with him going to do that right after the game? It’s a different age, man. And how these guys communicate, right? They have their own platforms. They could go on, you know, right after and voice their opinions and views of what they have seen. What they just went through. So, to me it really doesn’t matter. It’s just part of, you know, the society we living in now and the liberty these guys have to be able to voice their opinions on their games and what they just witnessed.” (Via Cousins with Vince Carter & Tracy McGrady)

“i’ve been told that you've tried spending less time on your phone recently, which i believe is a very hard thing to do. what made you do it? and did it actually work?” 🆑: yeah, i am achieving that. then there's a balance to find, because it's also true that as soon as you are... you kind of feel a little bit disconnected on what's going around because today everybody is with a phone, and so there's a balance to find. i did two or three months, i think, without ever touching my phone apart from whatsapp when i was receiving messages and calls, and that was maybe a little bit extreme. so now maybe i'm trying to find a balance between the two because it's good to be up to date with what's going on around the world and to stay in touch with friends and funny moments. there's also lots of funny moments on social media and it part also of social interaction with friends and family. so there's a balance to find, but it is also true that it's a place where sometimes it can be a little bit toxic when you are in a position where people can kind of judge and say anything very, very easily. and they have the right to do so, but as a human being, you can also be affected by looking at those things. so it's a balance to find. i don't know if i found the perfect one, but for now it works for me, which is the most important.

🗣️ Mikel Arteta on whether he has spoken to other managers or the Premier League about potentially changing the rule: “Yeah, but I think more than asking anybody else, the question has to be to the players. “What do they want? “If they raise their hands and say, ‘No, I prefer to stay at home and not travel,’ I think we have an issue, because then they don’t love what they do, which is matchday. “I’m sure that if you ask the players, everybody would like to be part of the squad on matchday because that’s the way that they can fulfil themselves. “Otherwise, you have to tell somebody, ‘You are not even part of this matchday,’ and that’s really, really tough. “It doesn’t help anybody. “It doesn’t help the club. It doesn’t help the valuation of the player. It doesn’t help the player feel part of something. “In my opinion, it’s a real issue that has a really, really simple solution.”

Robin Williams was sober for 20 years... then one thought in a small Alaskan town undid it all. In this interview, the comedian traces the full arc of his history with addiction: how it started, how he quit the first time, why he relapsed after two decades, and what finally broke the grip for good. It began early in his career, with cocaine. People asked why a man that fast ever needed it. His answer flips the assumption on its head: "I think I did it because it would actually allow me not to talk. It was like, you know, reverse medication... It just kind of shuts you down, which is a, you know, word: self-medication." The first turning point came in the early 1980s. Two things changed his thinking: the death of his friend John Belushi from an overdose, and the news that he was about to become a father. "I remember stopping it on my own because I was about to have a son... You don't want to be like that." On Belushi's death, he says it was the beginning of "thinking outside the box of 'you've got a responsibility and it's more than you'." He quit alone, without help. And it held for 20 years. Then came the relapse. "I was in a little town in Alaska. It wasn't the end of the world, but you can see it from there, and it was like all of a sudden I thought I could drink. It's also that same thought you have if you look off a large building and go, 'I can fly'. And within a week it was like gone." He calls the aftermath a gift: "Now, you know, I realize I can't." The second recovery looked nothing like the first. This time he went to rehab, and he learned why doing it alone had been the harder road. Surrounded by doctors and psychiatrists in treatment, he noticed a pattern: "The more intelligent you think you are, the harder it is to let go. Everything: 'I've got a solution, I'll just drink a little bit'." The lesson he lands on is surrender: "You gotta just say, 'I can't do it'... And then you have to go, 'Nope, you lose, you can't do it. You need help'. And at that point, that's the beginning."

Imagine living across the street from someone for 30 years and they don’t even know your full name, and the reason that don’t know not only your name but the wife only knows the name of the one Neighbor she talks to on either side of her home, and the reason for that is people that go through life this way think the whole universe revolves around them, we’ve all known people like this. If you look up and down the street of this neighborhood everyone parks in their driveway except for these people, they have their raggedy boat stuffed in their driveway. The whole street is empty, he could have parked that car anywhere even on his side of the street where he should have parked it to begin with. What do you think is at work here ? I believe they think their Neighbor is a soft touch and I totally believe the man when he says he does it because it bothers him. How do you resolve a situation like this ? Some people will disrespect you until you make the necessary adjustments. I’m glad Josh isn’t my neighbor… or maybe it’s the other way around😡

"It's a superhero movie that is for adults and has adult ideas in it. You don't have to think about it any harder than that. It goes way deeper. If you want to, you can tear it apart like a giant onion and keep peeling it until you're at its core. "But I think that it's cool to experience it just like when I read the comic book for the first time and I didn't know. No one was telling me what it's about or the why of it. You come to it fresh. And sometimes I wish I had that experience because I would love to see the movie or read the book for the first time again because that feeling was for me awesome. "Especially when you go into something with this anticipation that it's just a Hollywood superhero movie which is what a lot of people will think because they don't know. They see some guys fighting and then when you see the film you actually have this experience of it being taken apart. "Those archetypes, those mythological shapes, whether they be Batman or Superman or any of superheroes and how they're just turned around. Whether it's through sexual fetish or fighting, actually killing guys they fight. "Stuff like that or whether it's the end of the movie and there's this moral dilemma that is the end of the movie is also challenging on all those levels."

SNEAKO says Groypers don't have the influence they claim to have after nothing happened despite Nick Fuentes telling his followers it was "green lit" and "on sight" for him. 😳 "He said, 'It's green lit' and 'on sight.' No one said anything, and I'm outside every single day. Where are these people? You come to the realization that they don't actually have the motion they claim to have. If you think you can have any sort of successful political movement, but you can't even get one person to attack me in public the way you asked them to, how do you think you're going to influence an election?"

What if Biden's accelerated physical and cognitive decline was in part a result of hormonal treatment for prostate cancer? DR. JAMIN BRAHMBATT, ON CNN: "One of the biggest side effects that I see in my patients that get these hormone treatments could be cognitive changes. So you have to kind of balance that people can also get issues with fatigue and weight loss. But when he has stuff in his bones, he's also at higher risk for fractures. So it is it is a very sensitive conversation."

Does This Hells Angels Patch Mean You Killed for the Club? “The Filthy Few is, in the outlaw bike world, morphed into an urban legend. What it means is you have killed on the behest of the club, if you will. That entitles you to wear a Filthy Few patch. The problem is, everybody in the Hells Angels now wears a Filthy Few patch.” “You go somewhere and you see 20 guys in a charter with a Filthy Few patch on. My argument was, where are the bodies? Where are the indictments? Where are the cases? You have to determine whether he did that crime or not, not whether he’s wearing a particular patch.” -George Christie
